My mum is a single mum because my father just wasn’t any good. Today I’m 24 and I’m a medical doctor and she did it 99% on her own, my father came back into the picture when I was around 16-17 and during medical school. But I never lacked anything before that and even me becoming a doctor is testament to that. She taught me that if God forbid the man is no good that I can and will be better off doing it on my own like she did. She put all her focus, time and money into me and her rather than focusing on my dad and trying to change him

If you're a sahm, you're not a kept woman unless he pays for someone to do the cooking, cleaning, childcare etc etc. You have a job. Hopefully women who choose sahm are being wise with prenups and their finances so should the worst happen, they aren't left high and dry. People judge, they shouldn't, but they do. That's why you should just do what's best for you, wisely and ignore others opinions.
