In games, CPU usage need not be at 100% or even 90% for it to be a bottleneck. To determine CPU bottlenecking in games, you actually need to see GPU usage. If the GPU usage is anything below 90-95%, then it’s a CPU bottleneck. If the GPU usage is above 95%, it’s a GPU bottleneck, which is ideal in games. But if your GPU is not being utilized fully, then the CPU is bottlenecking it. Even if the CPU usage is only 25% but the GPU usage is, say, 70%, even then it’s CPU bottlenecking. You can check GPU usage in games using MSI Afterburner. It’ll help in determining CPU bottlenecking. Hope this helps. Cheers!

The bottleneck is only visible when you are gaming on 1080P Natively. Otherwise gaming on 1440P & 4K native is GPU dependent only so there are no bottlenecks in that case. Thanks!

If you're comparing both models, you're probably comfortable with splashing 40 euros for a 5600. Buy the 5600! The 5500 is marginally slower and falls short of PCIe 4.0, more importantly carries half the cache. The halved cache stands out like a sore thumb which is more likely to result with less game smoothness, increased fetch latency and generally less snappier system responsiveness. I built my pc with the 5500 and the 6700xt a few days ago. The 5500 is decent but i only got it because i didnt want to wait 2 days to get the 5600🤣. Im switching to the 5600 in a few days
