    Why didn’t you fit the whole floor panel to rear section?

      Thanks for your question. Reason for not changing the whole panel is that I believe that original panel (when its not corroded) is in better quality than replicas. So I am trying too keep as much original panels as possible.

      Thanks a lot :) I agree, its a fun project car. I can practice every type of car job, because nothing is in good condition on it 😁 Regarding color, I will not go with the montana green. It is nice color, but it doesnt fit to my "dream" setup, which is polar silver golf.

    It's 1 year old 70s/80s/90s white plastic white. The important thing is that you are doing it, and the best you can, learning is a part of life. If someone can do it better them self or pay someone to do it better. Well get to work or pull your credit card out.

I was thinking about leaving this project few times, but I am always returning to it and I will continue until it is finished :) Now I need to prepare all the rest parts like wings, doors, bonnet etc. That will be lot of fun, I am sure 😁

      Yes, I am located in central Europe (Slovakia) and we run winter and summer tires depending on season. Winter tires are mandatory if there is a snow layer on the road.

    Nice progress, good job. Btw don't quote me cause im not sure if its your exhaust setup or the fact you ran it in close quarters (or all my engines were clapped out) but yours sounds a bit different, idk how to explain it, like i hear extra slapping or something

      Well, you have good ears :) Actually there is no exhaust installed on ... or lets say it this way. Exhaust is on the car, but it is not connected to the engine 😁 Because I was not able to install exhaust clamps yet 🙄

      Thanks :) Actually I buy parts from different sources, ebay, allegro.pl, local shops. Chassis leg was quite difficult to get. Is no longer available anywhere. I got it from another country, where someone didnt finish his restoration and was selling the part locally. Fortunately one of my friends live there, so he was able to pick it up personally. Other than that i suggest to search constantly on web. Or you can maybe find someone at your area who is parting out shell or other things from golf.

      Metal facing outside like arches or sills are bought from different places (local shops, allegro, ebay), but the small parts like reinforcements inside are just metal sheets bent by myself.

    this look like its the garret t3 turbo which is quite big and is very laggy. Some of these engines come with this turbo but the never models got the garret t2 or k14 which is quite smaller and spools very fast and its responsive unlike this one. But if you willing to turn up the fuel and the boost then this turbo is the way to go.

      Yes., I plan to tune the engine a little bit with more fuel and boost. I have as well bought intercooler already. But first I want to be sure that engine works fine as it is :)

      It was a brand new panel. But I got it locally from one guy who planned to do resto on his golf, but then he rather sold it and he was selling this unused part separately. I was unable to find this part in any shop :/ part number is 191809101h

      Ahoj, plecharinu zhanam rozne, lebo uz je toho dostupneho pomenej, takze nieco z allegra, ebayu, pripadne vw heritage. Plus teda lokalne ak sa da. Co sa tyka blatniku tak skus pozriet depoauto, bral som od nich par veci. Ale dvere budu asi problem, zo zahranicia bude drahy dovoz. Takze skor najst nieco lokalne na bazosi alebo na fb v skupine vw retro club slovakia. Drzim palce 👍

      @@honestmileage5225 it’s a California car so it’s very solid. My car it’s a 16v but the engine it’s bad I’m swapping a 20v turbo now. I’m painting the engine bay the same color red.

      Thanks :) Actually I use 0.8mm wire as well. I just need to adjust power and wire speed on the machine based on how thick metal I am welding 🗜
