@LivingtheLaptopLifestyle - Wow! 15 nights! $5,000 more? That all depends. The main reason we stayed at the JOIA was for its Adults-Only draw. If you're OK being around kids, I would stay at the Selection. Iberostar's staff are incredible regardless of where you stay.

@@WilDesAdventures Yes! We always do 15 nights at a different all inclusive every year in jan/feb. It could anywhere in the caribbean but always a different all inclusive resort because every all inclusive resort gives you a totally different experience. And yes 15 nights we found is the only way to truly relax and let go. 7 is a joke 10 is better and 12 is close but we found 15 is truly the magic spot. If we are going to go all that way we are going to enjoy it. So we are at the Iberostar Selection Coral Upgrade and the coral upgrade looks amazing. So for 15 nights its $6300 which is an amazing price. For those same 15 nights at the Joia Grand Adults Only its $11,500 which is over $5000 more. So im trying to decide whether its worth an extra 5k. We have done both adults only and also family resorts and it doesnt seem like the kids ever play a factor to us anyway though adults only is very nice. Any other insight to us making a decision would be great!

@juanrodriguez-zr5ge - That depends where you stay. The higher the level of resort you stay at, the more amenities you can take advantage of. For example, if you stay at the Waves Punta Cana or the Waves Dominicana, you can use the amenities at both of these resorts, since they share just about everything. However, you cannot use the amenities at the Coral Level, Selection, or JOIA Bavaro. Next level up is the Selection - Where you can use the amenities at The Selection, Dominicana, and Punta Cana. Next level up is the Coral Level, where you can use the amenities at the Coral Level, The Selection, Dominicana, and Punta Cana. And the top level is the Iberostar Grand Bavaro (now known as the JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar), you can use the ameneties at every other Iberostar Resort.

@sharonsweeney2301 - Iberostar has 5 different levels in Punta Cana. The Iberostar Selection Coral Level is "one grade below" this hotel (i e. 4th level of all of their resorts). You will still have families with children at the Coral, but it's a bit "classier" than the other ones

@agyrrl - When I went in January it was known as the Iberostar Grand Bavaro Punta Cana. Just last month it has been rebranded as the JOIA Bavaro

Was it worth it, which room did you have?

@TheBeasty412 - You can see the building we were booked in at 5:34 of the video. The building itself was oceanfront. Our room was not facing the ocean (We were never there, so, it didn't matter to us). We felt the Preferred Club was worth it for the PC area as well as the private pool, which is adults only. @audreystarr6166 - I used my Little Chief Smoker just for the smoking aspect. I smoked it for about 8 hours then made sure I cooked it well on the grill (wrapped aluminum foil).

@007tortuga - Yes, there's a main street called Blvd.Kukulcan, just outside the resort and there are stores and restaurants there. PLEASE NOTE- Some of those areas are not the safest to walk as tourists!

@007tortuga - I stayed at the resort, and that's what I recommend. And if you're staying at the Coral Level, you can eat at any of the restaurants at the Selection.

Hola @Rosi! La diferencia es que el Coral Level es solamente para adultos, y tiene un sentir "VIP". El Selection es para familias. Otra cosa es que si te quedas en el Coral Level, puedes comer en cualquier restaurante en ambos hoteles. Si te quedas en el Selection, solamente puedes comer allí.

@pssita - Unfortunately, yes! UGH! Basically, all Iberostars pitch timeshares. We've been to MANY Iberostars and we've always, politely told them "no thank you". Yes, they can be very pushy, but, a simple, polite "no thank you" works fine. Now, for this particular Iberostar we decided to "take the tour" because they offered a 30-minute SPA (for my wife), and $100 in resort credit (I got a boatload of goodies from their local store!!). The pitch is long and boring, but it was worth the goodies we got in return. If I may, I'd like to offer some suggestions/advice: If you have the time, make sure you "milk them" for as many goodies as you can get from them! (Should I make a separate video on this subject?)

Hello @lunabella606 - Yes, if you're staying at The Grand Bávaro, you can use any and all of the facilities and restaurants at all of the other Iberostars. They will identify you based on the wrist band they'll give you. Thanks for watching and the kind comment!

How far are the other resorts from each other?

​@@MissLovelyPop- They are each about a 10-minute walk from each one (e.g. Grand Bavaro to Selection=10 minutes: Selection to Coral Level= an additional 10 minutes, etc). However, the staff would be more than happy to take you in a golf cart at no charge (personally, I would give them a couple of dollars tip) Thanks for watching!

Hello @demetriusbrooks1836! Thanks for watching the video. Prestige Level is a points system with Iberostar. Unfortunately, you don't automatically get Prestige Level when booking Coral Level. And yes, they do have activities at the Coral Pool; exercise, games, and contests.

You can purchase it either prior to arriving, when you book your reservation, or upon arrival.

Yes, they do have carts for multiple passengers, including children
