On October 7, 2024, the Pioneer Valley transit Authority inaugurated new shuttle service between Amherst and Greenfield. Join me as we ride on the first ever northbound trip, starting at the Bangs center in Amherst and ending at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. The route is operated under contract by MV transportation, using a paratransit van. Enjoy!

Join me for an afternoon ride on the Pioneer Valley transit Authority route B43 from Haigis Mall at UMass Amherst to downtown Northampton via the Hampshire mall and route 9. The bus is a new flyer Xcelsior delivered in I believe 2024, but I’m not sure. This one has a BAE hybrid system that sounds great. Enjoy!

The video begins on the 10th floor of the Lederle Graduate Research Tower, LGRT, from where we ride the elevator to the lobby and then take a number 45 bus to the Fine Arts Center stop before walking the short distance to Mahar auditorium. On a weekend trip back to Boston, I couldn’t resist a ride on an MBTA bus. Here’s a ride on the47 from Ruggles Station to Central Square, Cambridge. Enjoy! 

Join me as we take a ride on the UMass Accessible Van service, which provides transportation around campus for students, faculty, and staff with disabilities. We begin our ride as I leave class at Mahar auditorium, where we walk outside and then wait for the van in the rain before riding to Berkshire dining commons for lunch. Enjoy!

Join me for a ride aboard PVTA, bus route B43 from UMass Amherst at Haigis Mall to Northampton at Smith College. We ride the B43 Express variant, which runs express between UMass and Northampton with no intermediate stops and skips the route's mall deviations. Our vehicle is a New Flyer Xcelsior manufactured in I believe 2024, but I’m not sure. Enjoy!

Join me for a late night ride aboard a UMass Transit 2014 New Flyer Xcelsior bus on the 35. The video begins with the bus starting up at yellow Lot 12, and includes a front view ride through the center of campus along N. Pleasant St., as well as through the Central, Orchard Hill, and Sylvan residential areas. Enjoy!

The bus starts at Puffton Village Apartments and follows the normal 30 route up until the fine arts center, then travels via southwest residential to the rec center like a 35, where it terminates and then runs out of service back to the bus garag...

Join me for a ride on another UMass transit operated PVTA bus route. Today, we’ll be riding the 35, which is their UMass campus shuttle, serving most of the campus through a crazy loop route that doubles back on itself. Our vehicle is a 2011 new flyer diesel, this one is 35 footer. Enjoy!
