TWI Fishing here (Tim Willman Iowa) and welcome to the channel!
I am an absolute fishing nut who CANNOT get enough! A relatively new love of mine is filming while fishing; I do it to not only relive these moments myself but also share the amazing resources we have here in Iowa with others.
Follow along as I focus on catching bass (as well as some panfish), fishing bass tournaments, and just capturing footage on public bodies of water here in/near Central Iowa!

Catching November Bass In 40 Degree Water
Просмотров 316Месяц назад
We have finally made it to the last boat trip of 2024! Here in Central Iowa, the small ponds are beginning to ice over which signals the end to my season. The day before Thanksgiving, I ventured to a local lake with the hopes of catching a few more open water bass. I was greeted to nice and clear 40 degree water, which gave me hope. The fish were not as sluggish as I thought they would be; they...
I Caught My Biggest Bass of 2024 Today!
Просмотров 113Месяц назад
All I can say is WOW! This lake has some BIG BASS! While I did not catch many on this fishing trip, I did catch my biggest bass of 2024 (and the biggest Iowa bass I have caught in 3-4 years). The fish once again fell for the classic Berkley Money Badger! Water temperatures are still in the mid to high 40's but that is going to end quick; I wouldn't be surprised if ice begins to form based on ou...
Catching November Iowa Bass on a Crankbait

I can't believe that it happened today! Out of all days it happens in November! That's wild! Today I broke my personal record for the biggest five bass stringer of my life! I was able to catch five largemouth at this public Iowa lake weighing a total of 18.01 pounds, anchored by a 4.79 pounder. I was greeted to water temperatures in the high 40's/low 50's. It's honestly unbelievable for it to s...
Upper Mississippi River Bass are CHOMPING!
Просмотров 1702 месяца назад
Words can't describe how crazy it was to find this many bass loaded in an area on the Mississippi River. While I have fished this stretch of the river before with my dad in the past, we have never caught this many in that stretch (not even close). Water temperatures are still in the low 50's and these fish are hungry and aggressive! We caught bass on jerkbaits, crankbaits, jigs, and even crappi...
November Bass Fishing Iowa

We have made it to the bonus fishing time of the year! I can remember back about a decade ago we had ice on the water during the first week in November. That year was not fun. We have made it to November 3 and water temperatures here in Central Iowa are still in the low to mid-50's. The bass are more sluggish than they once were but can still be caught on a jerkbait in shallow cover. While I di...
Don't Give Up On These Fish Yet!

Back at the lake again after a couple of week hiatus! Water temperatures are still in the mid to high 50's, which means we still have a couple of boat trips coming before ice fishing. While the fishing was not electric like it was awhile ago, largemouth bass are still able to be caught on main lake points. I also found a HUGE school of crappie that had to be over 100 fish (check out the fish fi...

Pre-Spawn Panfish Crushing the Berkley Finisher!
I'm looking to get out ice fishing for the first time this winter. Got an ice combo, some lures, etc...now just need to find time. Looks like a blast.
Long time subscriber, what size hole does your auger make?
6 inch diameter boss; not big enough!
Is this in Altoona?
It is not; it’s west-ish of Des Moines
@ ok..I thought it was loupee park..and I didn’t think ice fishing was allowed there
Nice bass man!!! Great channel too I’ll subscribe
Appreciate it man! Looking forward to getting back at it!
Sweet catch! Weather held up then. I remember that Sunday. It's just too cold now.
Appreciate it! Yeah it was a gorgeous day! We will be back at it at hopefully end of February with the boat!
❤
This looks like a fun hobby to get into! I’ve been making my own soft plastic baits and wanted to start getting into making crank baits. I already have a few airbrush paint guns that I do tumblers on and would like to add crank baits to my hobby. What tips and advice could you give me? Where is the best place to buy supplies!
I believe this is where my buddy bought the crankbait bodies through "Cedar Run Outdoors" (cedarrunoutdoors.net/premium-dt6-ko/). I honestly knew nothing about it and it seemed to come naturally to my buddy. I would do what he did; paint in with air brush first, followed by placing the eyes and applying a clear coat. It seems as simple as that! I would recommend buying a few stencils in order to spray straight stripes or scales on the baits. I'm not sure where he bought those though.
Congratulations on that big Bass!
Appreciate it boss!
Niceeee BAG bruh!!🤙🏾🎣🤙🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Appreciate it boss! Was a special day!
Nice fish probably 2.5 lbs
Thanks! This one weighed 4.78 on the rapala scale
@ yeah cameras never do justice
@ 100% agreed!
I fish central Iowa Urban ponds and all of sept and oct I caught healthy bass on spinnerbaits.
Oh sweet! I haven't hit the ponds much this year. I did well with a spinnerbait last fall on the "bigger" lakes. Always a fun bite when they hit that bait.
I'm a mid iowa guy . Where are you fishing? Got a pin?
You commented on that other video; I sent you a message on Facebook messanger a few weeks ago!
Putting in work with the jerkbait! I went out Saturday and still caught them shallow. They were still hitting the buzz bait and chatterbait. Water temps were the aams mid 50s. Should still be good fishing the next few weeks
Glad to hear there are some still shallow! Buzzbait in November WOW! Hopefully we can keep the boats out until Thanksgiving
W save tho
Cat like reflexes!
Which lake did you film this on? I am also from Des Moines.
Messaged you on Facebook Messenger.
Bass pup!
River sure does love fishing! He licks every fish that comes in the boat!
I know exactly where this spot it.. used to fish it all the time when I lived in Iowa! Good spot to hunt morels as well
Dang! Sounds like the best of both worlds! Good ol lake macbride
turantula as bait?
Nope; it was a 3/8 skirted jig with a plastic crawled trailer
@@twifishing oh i see it now
That's a small mouth bass idk why ur calling it a Kentucky
@ericcooper9434 You are incorrect; this is a Kentucky/spotted bass. They have small teeth on their “tongue” and have largemouth greenish hues with the broken stripe on the side. Smallmouth are more brown typically, with no teeth on the tongue. There aren’t any smallmouth in this lake anyways (lake macbride Iowa)
Berkley Money Badger size 5
Yeah, Dobbie is an alright fisherman...I guess.
Yeah he whooped up on me and the fish here! Pulled some tricks out of his sleeve that we can't zoom in on in the video.
Nicee🤙🏾🎣🤙🏾
Thanks boss! A fun fall for sure!
Mr William I’m not in your class but I’ve heard you’re a good teacher
Appreciate it!
I was thinking a dressed hook would be good for crappie and sandbass, but you killed em anyway!
Mr Willman how are u
Thanks for tuning in!
What ive noticed from fishing is just get whatever color gets hit the most at your favorite spots even sometimes a hated color that doesn’t produce for anyone else will have you catching fish left n right
I agree with that statement! I always cuaght fish when I threw that color and had a ton of confidence; I lost it awhile back but need to replace it
Not these dumbas* people in the comments thinking if someone is slim that they dont workout💀 Some of us can work all day every day and stay slim. Dont be mad we can eat whatever tf we want n still look good, and will look like your 25 year old self when we're 40, while you look like a grandpa. Shout out my fellow slim bros, we still on top 🙌👏😂
Erm what the sigma
Maybe Gym then fishing. You seem like you need practice at both.
You got that right!
That bass has swam face first into every rock in the river.
😂 I absolutely lost it reading this comment! Spot on
Ain't gonna lie to ya man that hookset was kinda weak. But it's all good.
You got that right! Need to work on it for sure with both hands
Guessing he was skipping out on leg day
😂 all natural!
West Virginia bass
Nice catch buddy ❤
Thanks boss!
OH SNAP…show-off😺
Some times!
Nice one
Thank you!
"that's not a bad one" holds up absolutely beautiful fish
I guess I was referring to its size not colors lol
Nicee!! Place was loaded!! Gotta luv a good jig bite🤙🏾🎣🤙🏾✊🏾✊🏾
They sure were! Nothing huge but a good THUMP was really appreciated!

Actually yeah😂

I challenge anyone to find a more perfect choice for the soundtrack.
Appreciate it Tony! It just felt right💪
What lake is this
Public lake central Iowa; I don’t typically name drop but this one is very popular
Ate ALL the brothers and sisters lol goodness gracious!
