    1 I don't accept a compliment unless I've earned it! I cringe because I don't qualify for it! 2 I'd be super grateful if anyone remembered my birthday (even my Mother!) So sorry but gratitude only goes as far as it's extended. 3 I've talked myself up too many times to believe that a$$h0le now 4 Do I DESERVE that compliment??? You can call me "good looking" But I've got working eyes that can see in a mirror. Better advise would be how to take disingenuous compliment. 5 HAHAHAHA! I've paid it forward for 42 years. This year I got a 9 dollar book from my mom for my Bday... my little bro got a Xbox series X... last year she didn't even REMEMBER my bday! Oh and for her birthday I bought a OLED Switch and a 55 inch 4k TV.

    I had severe depression for years. I was referred to a Chinese doctor who had a reputation for curing hard cases. She asked me about my diet first. After a few questions she gave me three courses of antibiotics. I thought she was nuts. Not only that, but she said I didn't need a followup. I took the antibiotics anyway. Within three days I was completely cured of depression and have never had it since. It was due to bad gut bacteria, killed with antibiotics.

    • @karenandrewspsychology
      @karenandrewspsychology 8 месяцев назад

      I am so sorry to hear this! Therapy can definitely make you feel worse before you feel better, but even the worse bits should be in a way that feels "good" for you. If you've been seeing your therapist for a while but you can't talk to your therapist about how you feel about the overall process and its effects on you, it might be time to think about working with someone else. Long before I studied psychology myself, I started on my therapy journey and it took quite a few tries before I found the right person for me and it was life-changing (if you're interested to hear more, I tell the whole story in my playlist entitled "My journey"). Wishing you all the very best on your journey of healing!

    How many sessions would a person need if they have multiple traumatic memories

    • @karenandrewspsychology
      @karenandrewspsychology 11 месяцев назад

      Hi, how many sessions someone needs is hard to predict. But I think it's safe to say that the more pain and trauma that you have to process, the more sessions you'll need and the longer it will take. However, many people can take really big strides in the right direction for them, in about 8-12 sessions :)

    I used BWRT for a few things with an therapist in Ireland (by zoom) and it changed my life for good ! I did it for phobias : Fear of heights, dentist, carpophobia. It worked in only one session each. It is spectacular to see the difference immediately. My friends did not believe in this therapy they did not know at all until they saw all the changes in me and how I am now able to do all the things I could not do before, how I changed my life totally, how I overcame depression in a few months. Try it with the right person, people, you’ll see the benefits in a very short time. Start with a phobia and you’ll see !
