Actually I also have the sticky coating issue when i use a mouse for more than 2 years, and i get the repeat character issue once in a long while as well. Other than that their keyboards and mouse have been serving me decently most of the time. But the lifespan of every device is not more than 3-4 years in general What other brands have you been using for your peripherals?

@@chevlim I've switched to Apple Trackpad and Keyboard, they last a lot longer and don't suffer repeat input or sticky feeling and now they finally have usb-c versions. The haptic feedback that changes depending on how hard you press is also lovely, they've really nailed it!

Yeap agree. It could just be sold as a low-profile keyboard with 75% layout and attractive colours, and I think people would still buy it. The rest of it isn't necessary...

It's the Caldigit TS4 dock! Has a ton of ports and can charge a laptop at 98W. Pretty powerful dock Sure I'll plan for that, perhaps when I reach the 1,000 subs milestone haha

There are times the temperature is alright but I’m still sweating from travelling by foot, or when there’s insufficient wind while i’m waiting for the bus. Especially when the average humidity level in my country is 80%. I use it to cool me down right after workouts as well, or to cool down my hot food when I’m in a rush to travel Hope this clarifies the utility of handheld fans!

I’m using an M1 macbook air too, connected to a dock that has DP port. You can get a DP to Type C cable if you don’t have such a port. And based on Apple’s website, the M1 macbook air can support an external display with up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz or 4K resolution at 144 Hz. Based on spec sheet alone, the contrast ratio on the Xiaomi is higher, meaning blacks will look darker than the blacks on the KOORUI. Xiaomi also 95% DCI-P3 compared to 90% DCI-P3 on KOORUI, but frankly this is not a big difference and will only be important if your work requires colour accuracy. The Xiaomi monitor can do higher frame rate as well, but that shouldn't matter because M1 macbook air can only do 144hz at most. The KOORUI does have a more curved screen though as it is 1000R while Xiaomi is 1500R (lower value = less curved). If you are looking for immersive gaming or watching movies, a more curved screen is better. And the KOORUI one seems to have some gaming UI features that the Xiaomi doesn’t have, but I personally don’t game so I can’t comment much the usefulness of it. The brightness level on the KOORUI can get much brighter up to 500 nits, while the Xiaomi is 350 nits. I think it comes down to whether higher brightness and a more curved screen is more important to you, or having darker blacks and slightly better colour accuracy is more crucial. I just looked at the specs sheet of the G34WQ, and I didn’t really notice any obvious difference! Sorry unable to give you a clear answer on that part.

Then i think it will suit you because of the wide screen. Can open many tabs on VSC! But there’s another viewer who experienced image retention on this monitor when using it for coding. I haven’t encountered that even though i have coded on this monitor before. Just something to be aware about!

In my case - I make videos about sports related stuff on my main channel - 90% of the videos make no money and get only around 100-200 views (I have around 1.000 followers). But 2-3 videos make the most views and money (affiliate). I invest everything from my side hustle marketing consultant into my side hustle RUclips :D So I never paid me out money. I always buy new equipment and new products. And this since a few years. But I love to make videos and it's fun for me. So maybe in the future I will make some money with it. But it's totally fine if I get just buy some new stuff to test it and make videos. I wish you good luck with your channel :) Keep pushing!

Your post came at the right time. I am now testing the battery life of the Ultra1 fan. at 1% fan speed, it lasted about 7hours. But when testing at 100% fan speed, i noticed that it throttles to 70% fan speed midway. I'm re-doing the test again to check whether this is a one-off event or does it really throttle every time (maybe to prevent overheating) Stay tuned for updates! :)

If portability is your absolute priority, go for the Life9! If it is secondary, got for Pro1s because it can deliver way more wind than the Life9, while being quieter as well. And I think having a digital screen is so useful haha

@chevlim the wind strength is it the same? I actually don't really mind if it's noisy. My priorities are portability and wind strength since in the Philippines it's really hot🥲 I really just want something to cool me down. Thanks for replying btw! I'm really having a hard time choosing 😓

Based on the website, the wind speed on the life9 (10m/s) is higher than the Pro1s (9m/s). But based on my real-world tests, the pro1s can push a lot more wind and spread it across a larger area than the Life9. I suspect this is because of its larger fan head. But if noise is not a concern to you, you can always run the Life9 at a higher fan speed so the wind will be stronger! Hope this helps :)

I have some magnetic mounts from my camera gear, and I use them with my phone sometimes I don't follow any lifting program currently but I used to do the Starting Strength workouts. Saw pretty big improvements but didn't manage to stick to it when work got busy haha. I try to do at least 3 sets for each major muscle group, 2-3 times a week!

Yup it does, but oddly enough it has to stay wired up to my keyboard for it to stay connected. The moment i remove the wire, it doesn’t work anymore. Wondering if this might be because my keyboard is the older version. Will likely be getting the newest one with USB-C to test out in a few weeks

Yup I did, but i realised that things like tablets and smartwatches require logging into my own account in order to properly link with my other devices and test the features to the fullest The keyboards and fans i review are still fairly affordable, so I just buy them on my own I also borrow a number of camera gear from my brother quite regularly, otherwise the expenses will be even higher 😅

Yup, i think the pro1s is the best all-rounder, and it’s the one i keep reaching for whenever i go out! And yes, i do plan to eventually review neck fans eventually as well. I’m not too familiar with waist fans, but will be doing some research on it
