This is a fantastic rod. One-handed or two casting is so easy and effortless. You will feel every little thing your bait hits on the retrieve. It's my favorite rod reel setup as of now. Mine is a 7' 2" heavy fast with a Lews reel and 20lb Berkley Fire Line.

I agree, depending on the area and lake itself, for me. I can't throw this just anywhere.

This particular river I'm fishing has a lot of good size pan fish. Bouncing this setup along the rock bottom usually works great. With the slight bend in the body, fish can't resist it.

I did not have a fresh air source overnight. I also did not feel any sign of carbon monoxide in the van in the morning. That's not to say I shouldn't have prepared for it, though. I will probably crack a window next time to be safe.

Yes, these particular stones with this kit do dry very fast. I will also upgrade to better at some point. Although, I've learned that if I only soak the stones I'll be using at the time (instead of all of them), they do stay wet the amount of time I need them. Having them all out the day of the video was basically for demonstration purposes. I didn't use them all on that knife in the video.

In my part of Minnesota, trout waters are hard to find. In the entire state, actually.

You might have had your adjustment too high on the upright rod. That will make your blade blunt at the edge.
