a friend of mine has a golf mk8 e-tsi, the only problem that he had was a broken sensor
They fixed most of the software problems
Non comprare io 7 volte in officina in un anno
Mk8.5 is out now and has fixed most of these issues
It is more user friendly too

Amazing car. Just wonder when we get actually super smooth reacting gps maps on mm screens - all that laggy ui during swiping and scrolling gestures looks terrible, especially for mb.

This facelift of the E class is no better than the front model, if the rear part remains pretty, the front makes it unremarkable; less statutory .... regret

Why do some have the new steering wheel and some have the old?
You can upgrade to the new wheel for £115
not sure tbh, don't see the upgrade option in my country on configurator

theres no flat bottom version available of the new wheel either sadly, and its giving me too much SUV vibes as its the same wheel used in the Q3 :( although, if u want self dirving capabilities you need to opt for the new wheel as it has the touch sensitive sensors.
Good question. In my country we only get the old steering wheel. You cant even upgrade with S-line. But flat steering wheel are so overrated, got it on my A-class AMG-line. Dont pay extra for it.

You can feel the gear shift?
not really it's very smooth. You can only hear the shifting when going from N to D or R, feels weird as it uses the shift by wire technology so nothing moves (gear leaver stays in the same direction) but you hear how something underneath is changing. But on the drive it's very smooth
