Night Wingsuit Jump 07 Oct 2023

I did a night wingsuit jump on 07 Oct 2023 at Skydive Zweibrücken. We exited at just over 20,000 feet from a Skyvan. We had oxygen from approximately 8,000 feet. We inserted battery-powered ribbon LED lights inside the arm and leg wing chambers. We had illuminated altimeters. We practiced earlier in the day and had many safety briefings and reviews of our plan over the last months. My goal was ...

@@SafariMomentsVideos Thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing your event videos!
Look like amazing experience, thank you very much for sharing
Thanks for your comment. It is an excellent experience and I highly recommend it
Loved seeing the old guy jumping and loved seeing big groups of belly fliers, it takes me back. Blue skies!
Thanks for watching and commenting! There are a lot of great belly fliers in Belgium 🇧🇪!
I would love to try this. I would guess that mentally, this would feel like meditation. 🤔
After you get through the basics and learn how to fly stable, it really is a peaceful feeling, like a meditation to relax and enjoy flying!
I reside in Minnesota right now. I don't think that there is anything like that here. Fun way to spend some of a tax return.
@@MikeDu8b they will build one in Florida next to the International Skydiving Museum and Hall of Fame. Otherwise, a trip to Stockholm is the way to go!
I feel like I need to experience this.... Convincing my wallet? Priceless! LoL
@@MikeDu8b I can only encourage you to try it - you won't regret it, and the experience/memories are indeed... PRICELESS!!
That looks like all of the funs.
Thanks for your comment! It really is ALL of the funs!
1 out of every 500 jump attempts results in death….hopefully indoor training will improve the odds
Hi, thanks for your comment. I'm not sure where you are getting these statistics, but I do not believe these apply to skydiving. Perhaps you are referring to proximity wingsuit BASE jumping?
How many hours did it take for you to get to this stage
Hi, and thanks for your comment. This video represents my progress from 0 - 2 hours total over 4 days (40 minutes each day, 4 10-minute sessions, each time flying for 2.5 minutes). Does that make sense?
eu queria isso onde moro no Brasil. deve ser caro né
Hello, and thanks for your comment - I ran it through a translator since I don't speak Portuguese. Their prices are on the website, so I recommend you go there to check what they currently charge. indoorwingsuit.com/en/proflyer-prices-packages/

F@#k the vr head set just do the real shit vr is for people that lack imagination it's like playing a sport with one ball
Would love to try that! :)
Thanks for your comment, yes it is worth it! Definitely give it a try if you ever have the chance. You will love it!
That looks like a blast once you figure out how to do it
Thanks for your comment, and yes, it is a LOT of fun. It takes an open mind, listen to the instructor, and you can learn how to do this relatively quickly! I highly recommend it.
I want a 80's space shooter game vr with this
Ha! Yes, it's a little bit like that game, "Defender" that I could never play well. Hyperspace button was cool but usually put me right next to an asteroid. Thanks for your comment! 😁
Wow! The suit even has translucent feature!
Hmmm... I'm not sure what part of the video you're referring to - but the suits are not translucent. Perhaps you saw some reflection from the glass walls/ceiling around the tunnel? Thanks for your comment!
@@caseyskydive You'll first notice when they switch side,,
@@obscuraapit can you tell me at which point in the time of the video you're referring to? I don't follow your comment about the translucent feature or switching sides.
Around 1:23 and a couple of times later. But I'm guessing it's due to lighting and camera placement etc..
@@obscuraapit ahh, now I saw it at 1:23 - it's just the reflection of the glass that causes that visual trick. But you are very observant! Thanks for explaining that and your comments.
Came for the video. Stayed for that rippin' organ solo.
Yeah dude! Thanks for the comment! After I posted the video, one of the guys that runs the tunnel said he appreciated learning about a 'new' music find for him and started jamming the organ solo, too! 😁
How long until we get a track. Red Bull inside wingsuit competition.
That's a great idea! I'm sure there is something like this in development!
wow now you can do everything while watching netflix, even flying 🙃
It's true! The guy who has the record flew over 6.5 hours in the tunnel nonstop without touching any surface. I think he could have watched a few movies. Thanks for your comment!
You know someone has many hours and is skilled when the one instructor goes from being up high, rotates, comes down low, and still never loses control or touching the ground
You are exactly correct - they are excellent instructors and have mastered their wingsuit flying. Thanks for your comment!
thumbs up if this is your first horizontal wind tunnel too
Yes it was definitely my first experience in an inclined wind tunnel!
I think a better song would have been Tom Petty's "Learning To Fly".
Yes, that's definitely a great song and a good option. I didn't choose it, because that song gets used a lot already in skydiving and/or wingsuiting videos. I felt this song represented the perseverance needed to get through the learning progression. But thanks for your comment!
Så kul!! Looks like an absolut blast, will look it up on y next Sthm trip!
Cool, thanks for your comment! It's definitely a blast and I highly recommend it the next time you're in Stockholm!
Watching the guy in the red suit faceplant a dozen times over was far more entertaining than I imagined it would be :P
As the guy in the red suit, I can tell you that even though it wasn't always entertaining to face plant, I learned a lot and wanted to share the progression with everyone! Thanks for your comment! 😁
@@caseyskydive It looks like it was so much fun! I'd have been thrilled to face plant a dozen times!
@@TorQueMoD It definitely is and I really recommend it if you ever get the chance. It really feels like you are flying!

😁😁😁😁😁
Thanks for your comment! It is a lot of fun, even more than 5 smiling emojis! 🙂
I want to fly
With this tunnel, it makes it really feel like you are flying! Thanks for your comment.
The instructor is on a skill level where his body has taken over and does the balancing all alone while his brain thinks of other stuff.
That’s an interesting observation - but I can say they are focused on their students!
@@caseyskydive or even more focused on their hands 💞
@@webgpu that's interesting, but I can assure you that they are very focused on the students and helping them to learn.
Cara ,,eu queria aprender a voar com essa roupa. Vou ter que treinar pulando no monte ou montanha baixa. Como eu compro essa roupa.
Thank you for your comment
As a Fixed Wing flight instructor I can say this is awesome communication between a flight instructor and a student...well done all-the-way-around! KP
Oh wow that is awesome to hear. Thank you for the nice comment. I agree, they are excellent instructors
What is so amazing is this could be a case study in student-instructor communication. You began with a harness, “a training device.” He taught you hand signals & a variety of communication tools that you used in an environment that you could not speak.Did you have headsets/radios? doesn’t matter. You were an excellent student open to learning, and they were a polished & skilled instructor. if you tell me, this occurred all in two hours from start to finish, that will prove to me that this is a case study!😊
@@99kevin99 wow thanks for your deeper insight. We did not have radios or headsets. We used eyes, facial expressions, and hand signals. We could debrief orally in between each 2.5 minute session. Yes, this video represents 2 total hours “flying” in the tunnel.
@@caseyskydive Wonderful insight. This thread turned out to be a case study in communications and you have completed the case study data! Thank you VERY MUCH! KP
@@99kevin99 my pleasure, it makes me happy to offer something people enjoy and engage with through this platform.

Thanks for the comment! I’m happy you enjoyed it
that looks so dang fun lol
Hey, thanks for your comment! Yes, it is a lot of fun and I highly recommend it. 😄
Oh man! Is that training for some hostage rescue or something?
HA! Thanks for your nice comment. It's certainly high intensity, but there are no hostages involved. 🙂
That's cool. Watched the whole thing. The way it pulls you into a scorpion position when you go down face first is fascinating.
Thanks for your comment! You bend your legs at the knees when you go face down on the mat to let the wind keep you from sliding down further toward the net. It's just a technique they teach you to help you stay put so you can get back into a flying position.
Gotcha. Makes sense.
@@techdaemn but you're right - it does look like a scorpion!
Very cool video……..
Thank you for the nice comment!
Amazing - good luck to anyone who learns how to do this!
You don’t need luck with their instructors! They teach you how to fly safely and efficiently to maximize the fun
Next thing for The Olympics.
Ha! That would be awesome! Great idea, would there be different categories? Compulsory? Freestyle? Artistic? Synchronized pairs?
@@caseyskydive it would be a lot more interesting anyway 👍🏴
@@philthycat1408 I think artistic pairs would be delightful to watch
Seeing the guy in the red keep flopping to the ground is so funny😂
Ha-ha! Thanks for your comment, at least it didn't hurt (too) much! ;-) I learned a lot, despite all the crashes and flopping.
@@caseyskydive I didn't know it was your own experience. It's so cool what you did

You mean Germany is the only Country with this? Ugh. Donations accepted!😁 Oh I forgot to admit I'm "jelly"!
At the moment, the only one is in Stockholm, Sweden. They're building another one in Florida that will be next to the Skydiving International Hall of Fame!
dont think I could ever do this down a mountain or anything but im stoked to try this!!
Thanks for your comment, it's the same for me. I'm not interested in BASE jumping or proximity flying, but wingsuit flying from a plane in wide open spaces is awesome!
Downvoted for the music
Ah that is sad - not an Argent fan?
Those face plants were awesome.
HA-ha! They don't feel great at the time, but part of the learning process. Thankfully, the floor is a very soft cushion to make learning easier and not 'too painful' - just to the ego!😁
Hold your head up!
HIGH! Thanks for your comment, I can see you also love that song!
Not really fair, clearly the blue wingsuit is made of genuine bat leather and the red one is just made of old t-shirts.
HA! It certainly felt like that as the guy in the red suit - but I learned a lot and I hope I got at least a little better by the end.
How much experience did they have prior to this lesson?
Great question! I had around 600 wingsuit jumps before this. I went in with an open mind and desire to learn and they did a great job.
I, never knew this kind of thing existed. Seems fun and exciting.
It’s really an awesome experience- I highly recommend it!

The most commonly asked question. Does this suit make me look fat?
Ha! Great comment!

I could have watched this all day long. I did about 60 solo jumps belly down because I wasn't good at head down or even sitting down, and now I'm watching this instructor moving his hands showing the guy in red what to do while keeping a steady flight is just amazing.
