Axial SCX24 NO MORE BODY CLIPS!!! Part 1
Was just looking at these on amazon. Thanks for the review
@@mattp_505 I totally recommend these. I do recommend that you order it directly from FMS or Fair RC. Their customer and warranty services are excellent.
Great run!
@@TheMindsEye-RC thanks! I got to get the FJ running again. Need some body work.
Any idea on how long these shocks are eye to eye ?
I gifted that truck a while back. I remember that they were slightly longer than the stock ones. If I had to guess, I would say they between 40 to 42mm eye to eye. Sorry I couldn’t be more precise.
@@Papa_Shorty Thank you very much .
Unlucky you have broken parts with the stock motor setup. The first thing I did is upgrade mine to a brushless setup and its been doing great so far and I have put it through some pretty rough bashing and speed runs. The brushless setup I am running hit 57mph so far with stock gearing!😀
@@Shreddylife yeah I think I just got that one car that decided to be problematic. Horizon was cool enough to warranty out the parts, so I wasn’t super upset. What setup brushes setup are you running in your grom? I’m still debating whether to go brushless.
@@Papa_Shorty I went with a QuicRun 16BL30 esc with a Reedy 280-SL4 4500kV motor on 3S with a RC4GS radio / R6FG receiver combo. It was really worth upgrading the radio. The handling is really nice with the Gyro. I also installed a 28,000rpm fan because the motor was getting a bit hot on 3S
@@Shreddylife I was looking into the QuicRun. They seem to be the best working for the Groms. I’m still on the fence on what motor I want. I’m more interested in running it on a track rather than speed running.
@@Papa_Shorty The Quicrun esc is great for the price. Look up the XTEAM 2435 4500kv, its a good little motor for $23. I would really think about installing a Radio / receiver with a Gyro too its really worth it.
@@Shreddylife I’ll check out the motor, thanks. As far as a radio goes, I have one ready to go in that’s gyro equipped
I always keep a can of Electronics duster on my work bench to clean off all the upgrade parts proor to installation, youll be surprised how much metal shavings are still in the packaging.
@@NoodlesNJ1 that’s some great advice. Good looking out for. Thanks
nice upgrades, little mojave is awesome 👌 👍👍😀
@@rcplaytime thanks, glad you liked it. Hoping to get out to the track this week to get some footage.
I love my Mojave Grom! Such a fun truck for a very low price!
@@HumlsHobbies totally agree on that.
I’m annoyed. I didn’t see this until now! Great seeing you brother and awesome video!!😊
@@exlewisrc3674 thanks man. Trying really hard to dedicate more time to this. Finding it difficult to maintain a presence, either by publishing videos or even in the comments. I need to win a small lottery. Just enough to be able to make content full time.
So all I gotta do is flip the box and the truck will change colors ?
@@TRAIL_MIX_BILLY yes. My magic level permits me to do such things. Or there’s pictures of each color available printed on the box.
@@Papa_Shorty so it doesn't work for everyone?
Great seeing new video .
Glad you enjoyed it.
Looks like a great product! Great review dude!
love this car, definitely on my list 👍👍😀😎
Nice video.. i just subbed
Thanks for the sub. I’ll have to swing by your channel and check it out.
Hola amigo, te quedó muy interesante el crawler, que neumáticos le pusiste? Gracias
Bro I just bought 6 of these from Redcat
Can’t beat that deal. I’ve been working on the comparison video. So far I’m really liking this combo.
Dang dude! Going from a brushless to a 13T motor.. that rig is going to be sooo fast. Not sure if you know or forgot but the higher the turn the more torque, lower turn more speed.. lol gonna be one fast af crawler :) lol Nice ending clip lol that was awesome
Nah. It’s not. It’s slightly faster than stock. I believe you’re thinking of the 13T 540 Trailmaster. Shorter can than the 550.
Good job and a nice location😀
Glad you enjoyed it. Looks a lot different now. The forest is so dense it’s almost impossible to film from lack of sunlight.
Thats a great combo, have it in the ascent.
I only regret not getting one sooner.
Thanks for the shoutout man! That is one of the best deals around right now! Great unboxing!
Any time man. Can’t thank you enough for bringing it to my attention.
Looks like a great deal especially with the program card.
They pair up really well in the Trailwalker. I dare to say, the performance rivals the Furitek setup.
Perfect👌👍
Great video!! I needed this to know what to do..thanks!!
Glad I could help.
Great story and great video! Earned a sub from me!!
Sorry I didn't respond earlier, it's been a hectic month. Thanks for the sub.
No worries I know how it gets lol. There are times I don't see comments right away on my channel so I get it.
Totally baaaadddaaaasss video Chris!!! Looks like an absolute blast! I'm sure you'll be eventually unboxing a fast rig at some point! 🤔
I didn’t do any driving that day. I was just there to film. Yeah I definitely want a fast rig. Probably not till next year. Sorry took so long to get back to you, I was on vacation.
Oh heck yea man!! That place looks like some unreal fun times for a high speed rig! That course is perfect with the short walls to hold the rigs and go carts on the track. Looks like the truck at the end was going to smoke ya if not for that wall.. lol Bet that was good times getting those shots too. Nice one man!!
Yeah man that truck hopped the rail and grazed me. It then proceeded to barrel roll NASCAR style until the fence stopped it. I hate that I didn’t catch it on camera, but it happened so fast. Just got back from vacation, sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner.
Great video man! I appriciate the shoutout! If you ever decided to get a go fast rc I highly recommend the Arrma Mojave 4s. Its my favorite! Great speed and handling right out of the box!
Yeah man. Every time I’ve been out with this group, I’ve noticed that the Mojave never breaks. It’s between that and a Losi Eisenhower.
Awesome video bro! Looks like a sick little course to test out those bashers🤘🏻🤘🏻 hope all is well🤙🏻
It was a great time. I didn’t do any bashing or racing. I was there to film. Plus the fastest thing I have is a TRX4. I tell you what though, that speed demon bit me. I feel the need to go fast now.
Camera placement & driving on point señor! 👍
I’m glad you enjoyed it. I love filming RCs and taking my time to find the shot. I usually end up dirtier than the RC.
Your Bronco looks great. Love the purple color scheme. What are you filming with? Your videos look really crisp!
Thanks for watching. I'm filming with and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Plus some software that give me more control over the camera settings. I imagine it wouldn't be convenient for you to use an iPhone for your videos.
@@Papa_Shorty thanks for the information! I’ve got a go pro 8 that I usually use for my bike POV videos. You’re correct it’s tough to use a phone on the bike.
Love this rig Shorty that purple color really pops of in the sun light
The black was really nice when it was new. But once it got a scratched it lost its luster. Purple was the only choice.
Nice rig man, that purple is an awesome awesome colour!! :) Awesome this thing can bash like that without even an issue, kewl vid man!
Yeah. I still don’t know about it man. I wanted one, and I got it. I’m like ok… I don’t know how to articulate it properly. Driving it is like walk on soft grass with boots on. Where the Element is like walking barefoot. (I’ll have to say that in a video) But yeah, other than the electronics, it’s pretty well built.
Very nice vid man, great quality shots on that FJ40. That lil creek at the start was so scale for the rig it was perfect. THEN it came to the roaring river and it crossed like nothing :) Good stuff Nuclear Nadal!!! Woot Woot!
Thanks man. I so glad you dug it. I’m really thinking about getting a second one. Make a steel roll bar for it and got topless. What surprised me about the river crossing, was the fact that almost no water got in the cab.
Nice location you have there Papa Shorty! Small scale river for the Fj40! By the way, fms did such a great job on that body, I need to get one in the future and make something out of it.Thank you for sharing the video mate!
I promise you would love one. I’ve done near nothing to this one. I just changed the esc and radio for smoother control. Other than that and some paint and details, it’s stock. I’ll tell you know, it’s not a performer in any way. But it will surprise you how well it can do. I think this truck truly shines when being recorded.
Nice river crossing! Great videography all around. Truck seems much more planted and stable with the smaller tires on it. Lowered the CoG!
Made a noticeable difference. Believe it or not, 99% percent of everything I’ve done is cosmetic. The only performance upgrades have been ESC, radio, wheels, and tires. Relatively stock.
Great video! Love the wide screen and framing. Cheers!
Thanks for noticing! Sometimes it’s not just about the Truck.
What nice and calming video.
Thanks man. I didn’t realize it was going to be a chill video until I started editing it.
love watching the suspension 👌 this is so scale and realistic, excellent work dude, fantastic 👌👌😎😎👍👍🤙🤙
Thank you. The suspension is bone stock. Once the suspension got worn in, it started to articulate much better.
Wow, it's a very nice place. It's like a scene from a movie.
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to film here. Thanks Matt.
Truck is looking and performing good! Love the dark theme on it and I believe this is the best color to hide all the inaccuracies of the body itself.
Awesome video, baaaadddaaaasss rigs, and amazing crawling terrain Chris!!! That first music track was totally baaaadddaaaasss too!
I appreciate that man. The weather is finally cooperating lol. I have more time to get out on the rocks.
Tires are awesome, I just got a set, not sure where I'll run them yet. Nice recovery from the giant folk! Cheers!
lol I needed a way to justify the use of the winch. Actually I was going to end the video stuck in the crevice, the recovery was a last minute decision. I almost left that part out. Glad you enjoyed it.
Awesome video man! Great shots of a great truck!!
Thanks man. I kinda want to repaint it again. Haven’t made up my mind yet.
Love the antenna. Their trucks are so easy to watch. I had never heard of Batrazzi before, either. Those tires are some underdog performers, for sure.
The antenna is a E string. Batrazzi came out last year I believe. I have a set of their oil shocks too. The shocks are super nice on this truck. Completely changed up the performance.
Great looking truck bro! Glad to see another vid from you!
Thanks man. One way or another, I’m going to make this my full time career.
Awesome looking weathering and great crawling. Most people overdo the weathering and make it look like the rig has been sitting in a lake for years.
Thanks man. I thought I got a little heavy handed in some spots. I expect some of it to come off with water and use. The crawling is Hollywood magic.
Well, I went to the doctor I said, "I'm feeling kind of rough" He said, "I'll break it to you, son" "Let me break it to you, son" Your shit's fucked up." I said, "my shit's fucked up?" Well, I don't see how-" He said, "The shit that used to work- It won't work now."
Yeah. That sums up getting old.
@@Papa_Shorty Yep. Stiff and creaky joints don't make doing a lot of things pain free. Anything you can and slap on you to mitigate that, is A-OK.
@@JD-tl7ld I’ll be in a suit of armor in a few more seasons.
@@Papa_Shorty Me too.
Awesome idea, I always had the of those crappy pads you used get at Home Depot... these make much more sense (and it looks like they protect you shins also)
lol I had originally got them as shin guards for work. I believe this a way better use for them.
Great idea! I never thought about that. I'll have to throw a set into my crawling backpack.
Yeah man. These are great for the price. The instructions say to hand wash, but I chuck em in with the wash. They do fine. I left a link in the description. It’s not affiliate, just figured it was a good deal.
Good moves man, knee pads are totally useful in places like that. We dont have rocks out here much at all. Seem like its all dirt but those would still be good when crouching down to check angles out :)
Hell man. I’d wear knee pads in soft sand. Wrecked my knees in the service lol.
Great seeing you making videos again. Love your videos .
Thanks Chris. It’s a bit of a struggle finding the time to film. Going out for a day of crawling is completely different than a day of filming. Usually only have time for one or the other. I try to squeeze in a video when I have the extra time.
