Soccer and baseball share a common problem. People go to work every day expecting it to be more difficult and frustrating than celebratory and easy. That's soccer, many opportunities few scores.....and baseball, you get 4 at bats in a game and end up with one hit, a single. In other words they are both so much like people's real life workday.....the cultures that love soccer reflect their own appetite for frustration and delayed gratification in their everyday life.

I hate when an audience member heckles the comedian. And I hate when a well-behaved audience member gets randomly hazed by the comedian. So I understand why both phenomenons exist.

This is funny as fuck!! I always felt that way too. It was taboo in highschool. Getting your weed, getting everyone together, and finding a smoke spot was half the fun. We felt like we were on our own thing. Then it became legal before i was even 21 and right when I turned 21 I hit up a smokeshop and was like, "oh wow, what a fine establishment, some of your finest weed good sir."

I went to America and did my first stand up set there because I could not walk 2 feet without seeing a poster for a stand up comedy open mic night. I'm from a 3rd world country and I have known about stand up for pretty much my entire life. It's just impossible to grow up in America without knowing Eddie Murphy or Jim Carrey, and what about youtube? The first viral video was an Eddie Izzard Routine. Enjoyed listening to you guys. Must have been Jesuit Order schools you guys went to? I attended Marianist Order Catholic schools (K-12), which were very different from Jesuit (and not in a good way).

I went to public school in the 1970s. I had a history teacher who had been a nun throughout WWII where eve served in the Red Cross and it changed her. She had been a catholic school teacher prior to the war and decided that after the war she’d take her talents to the public sector for the good of all of society. She was the most dedicated teacher I’ve ever seen.
