I remember this song well... it was played as a memorial song for my friends funeral he always loved this game. To bad I became a Pirate Legend without him...

if i was slooping with a friend and could handle fighting solo i would have them play this on the bow of the ship always even if we crashed into the other player ship

I think this perfectly captures the game. Such adventure an excitement. only to be ruined by a 4 person crew that just wants to sink your ship and make you suffer. Nothing aboard. just the open sea, the wind, and music. Then explosions all around. no hope for survival. No mercy for allowing you to even go down with the ship.

My crew mates once locked me in the brig of our vessel and lit it on fire then jumped into the water getting onto land watching the ship burn and eventually getting sunk... and during that time I played this song on my gurdy

I told a repear gally that sunk me i wanted to play a single song as they left me. They allowed and next thing I knew an hour later they had sent me the clip of them sailing away slowly as what was left of me ship ducked below the ocean surface with me in it, playing me last tune. Felt like I was in a movie. God I love this community.

Keeping this for good ambient background music for a campaign

I have a go at making lyrics for this. Short times bring gold, or so at least we’ve been told. Quick winds, low waves, brings upon a new day. The smell of salt, our tiny boat, brings fortune to our small crew today. Short times bring upon our pay, we hope short times will stay. We are here, sailing through the years not knowing where, the winds will lead. But we stay upon our ship, keep on sailing till we are dead. Short times come and go, when they leave, well we don’t know.
