He has the wife's approval. She loves Billy.
My wife and I were walking to see this young guitar player playing with a mandolin player, Don Julin. We had never heard of either. I got sidetracked and started pic’n with some campers. An hour later, my wife scolds me for missing this kid who is channeling Doc and Tony. Lucky for me he played again the following day, his 21rst birthday, at The Albino Skunk Festival. I wrote him into a song that year…we knew he may be the next great one. Doc and Tony always pushed the boundaries too! Nothing but respect!! Festivuuul!!
Don't understand the other comments. I think this is a beautiful tribute to Tony and his music.
Exactly. Remember, before it was Tony's it belonged to Clarence White. The instrument is eternal. It gets passed. The worst thing in the world would be to leave it in the case.

It felt wrong at first, but after hearing about Pam and Billy's meeting backstage before the show, I'm happy I get to hear 58957 again.
Nope, it was quite the opposite. Before he played, he addressed the audience to quiet them down and let them know it was Tony's guitar he was about to play and he wanted them to chill and really listen to it.
Would be nice to hear him play this legendary “Antique “ minus the crowd noise. Billy later said it took him a while to understand how Tony got what only Tony could get out of it.
What an honor for Tony’s widow to let Billy use the holy grail of acoustic guitars.
