This is something I worked on a bit during my summer vacation earlier this year, finally got around to make a quick showcase of it!
I am basically using this project for random ideas that I want to try, animation wise, modeling wise, design wise, Etc.

Stopped working on this like a week ago and not feeling like finishing it up since I moved on to other stuff. Kinda like it but feels like it could definitely be keyed in the same amount of time just as good. Models are property of Battlestate Games

Now that our studio is in WFH mode I got the chance to record some random exploratory stuff with one of our Xsens systems during my spare time. The idea is to see how you could incorporate motion capture to your first-person pipeline. obviously you would need to stabilize or reanimate the camera. @@fridentorp I personally would love to see how the arms are handled in first person such that you can still see the body animations. are they "floating arms" or is this a full body system? as with full body i have been running into issues personally. and im wondering if i should scrap the idea and move to a hybrid solution.

Me waking up 2 days later naked on a stone floor in a pool of sludgey and crusty blood in agony from my poorly stitched wound below the right side of my ribcage in North Africa after I went skydiving and smacked my head off a tree cracking my skull open and causing swelling in my frontal cortex. (They stole my kidney along with the stem and plugged it with a piece of yellow cloth)

HUNK! How's the process for cleaning up/retargeting your Xsens data?
Xsens is pretty special in the way that they are actually improving their stuff all the time(cough Autodesk). By now what you get out of Xsens is pretty good already. I usually just throw the raw data on to my characters in Mobu and then it is basically just loop the animations, finding the key poses for each locomotion type and apply the poses. I think all in all, the locomotion animations were done in less than two hours. The key here is obviously to have good data as a starting point, having the ability to capture at home means I can get loops that stretch the max range of Xsens. For the reload in the end, since you can't really capture props reliably with Xsens I usually just parent the weapon to the right hand, tweak it around to get better poses. Then the left hand is mostly keyed to fit whatever the weapon is doing.

Nope, this has a lot of models I do not own and without them there is not really much else system wise

Yeah the amount of power you have as a non coder is pretty crazy. Never really having to wait for hooks and such from a programmer is really freeing

Yeah I did, don't have the equipment to capture fingers and really don't see the point of doing it. More fun to key them
