Incredible performance

Celine’s performance at the 2024 Olympic ceremonies was the highlight of the show.In spite of her health problems, she still is a tremendous performer.

Just happened upon this video (July, 2024)... Was a (TV) producer at this Super Bowl... Was there when earlier in the day of this Super Bowl (37) she recorded this... And what has always stayed with me is that when Celine laid this down, she insisted on standing on a specific spot on the field to record it! Which, at the time, struck me as "odd" - why did it matter where she recorded the song?... One take... Then, when it came time for her pre-game appearance, she was escorted out to the very same spot where she had stood previously (to then lip sync this)... As I'm sure most everyone knows by now, none of these Super Bowl musical performances are done "live"... Whitney's was recorded earlier as well (I've worked 38 straight SBs)...

If it wasn't for American producers who wanted her to be a soft pop princess she would have had a different english output. She was and is much more an androgyne performer in her moves and habits and the most authentic here. She loves to strike a pose like a rocknroller which is sometimes a sharp contrast to the soft My Heart Will Go On. That''s why she was too fond of the song at the beginning. She was more into The Reason from that album. It's All Coming Back To Me and others... Actually her first english album Unison might be her most personal. Her French output is much more authentic and her. Je sais pas, On ne change pas... and many others..

I was there for that super bowl and that was a performance I will remember for the rest of my life. When I listen to her sing this, it gives me goose bumps, just so beautiful ❤️
