Based Math
Добавлен 5 ноя 2006
Math teachers say learning math is fun, this is a lie, but we can try to make it a little more fun. Sometimes you just want to see examples that are not appropriate for math class. Sometimes to remember math that I learned in the past, it helps to come up with ridiculous examples; and maybe I get paid a little for my time. We are really just helping each other out.

I made the mistake of saying that 5! is 125, its 120. If you want to know why I made that mistake please see this video here: ruclips.net/video/qb1vmYwvV5k/видео.html&ab_channel=BasedMath
Normalizing probabilities

Jonas lies and hot tub is fixed (possible in math not possible in logic of scenario): .72, JL and NL: .08, JT and NF: .18, JT and NL .02. Add these four scenarios up .72 .08 .02 .18= and mathematically you get 1 or 100% the sum of all mathematically possible probabilities. However if logically .72 and .02 are not possible, we take these cases out by adding only the remaining probabilities that ...

Once again talking about tiger, but this time wondering what is the probability that he gets beaten up by either inmate? How to calculate these instances. This is necessary to watch: ruclips.net/video/bb77BE9y_wI/видео.html before watching this current video.
Basic Probability Addition

Basic probability addition at the dispensary. This problem is a very simple beginning to help contrast and set the tone for more complex issues in probability, we will continue to work with examples along the same vein. As we dive deeper into probability.
R Squared

This video builds on our last video, which uses a data set that we have been using from our Z score and regression video. ruclips.net/video/tbS264zGC3M/видео.html&ab_channel=BasedMath
SSE R^2

This will be required for our R^2 line which we will talk about more in detail in the next video. The rest of the squared error values not calculated in this are listed by individual: i2=2.825, i3=.102, i4=.342, i5=11.338, i6=4.731, i7=.762 i8=2.989, i9=.531, i10=.074. SSE, which is the sum of all these values, is 24.01

This example returns to our data set, and will be finished off by the next video. We pull our r Value from here: ruclips.net/video/oSqY8SpJjDw/видео.html&ab_channel=BasedMath. Simple Regression Line Example

We use the 1,2,3 and 2,4,6 data sets to set us off on how to find a regression line, this contrasted with my next video will go to what the various parts of the equation for the regression coefficient are actually doing.
Simple Correlation Coefficient Worked Example

As promised this is a simplified worked example of correlation coefficient. This using the data set from the description in the last video: X1= 1, X2=2, X3=3. Y1=2, Y2=4, Y3=6.

In the video I make the error of saying we take all 8 girls, but meant to say we take the other 8 girls scores. There are 10 girls in this ongoing set. The data looks as follows: x1=3, x2=6, X3=6, X4=4, X5=5, X6=9, X7=10, X8=8, X9=7 X10=7. Y1=2, Y2=4, Y3=6, Y4=3, Y5=8, Y6=11, Y7=9, Y8=5, Y9=6, Y10=7. Data set for you guys to find a correlation coefficient of is here: X1=1, X2=2, X3=3, Y1=2, Y2=...

Mean and Median positions Related to Skew
Thank you so much man!!! Started modding myself now. This is the most concise guide out there. It's very interesting that you work straight out of the Assembly Kit instead of RPFM or PFM.
Of course! It drove me nuts that all the modification video's out there pretty much jump right into 2 hour long in depth mods. It was like trying to teach people who do not know how to add and subtract calculus. I'm glad it helps, happy modding!
@@basedmathh Thanks man! One question: how would you go about editing/updating a mod/packfile through the Assembly Kit? Let's say I upload a mod, but want to make changes or keep working on it over time. How do you do that?
@@alexseferiades4412 Well on the assembly kit it actually saves any edits made, so say you had two modifications and wanted to export, you actually cannot separate out those two (so your original mod would be tied in with the new mod). For this reason you have to actually uninstall and reinstall to do a second separate mod in the same category, so in a way it can be a non issue. I actually haven't had to update yet...I honestly was going to go the lazy route in the comments when the issue arises and reference the new mod that replaces the old. That or I did want to try and see if I could prompt it from my computers end with a file that bears the same name and attempt to re-upload (since it would be positioned internally as the same mod). The software is designed to automatically recognize .pngs for images so Id like to think this is a good hypothesis. That considered steam workshop does not appear to have any way in which you can edit it after the fact (that or again guessing here it could be permissions related). *update: its in the uploading section so yes I think you replace the .pack with your new file and then click update where you originally click upload.
Great!!!!!
