I love this because I want to learn Slovenian like the rest of my extended family knows. I am Slovenian and my part of the family moved away from everyone else. So when they went to Slovenian catholic school to learn Slovenian language, my mom didn’t. I would like to show my family that I can learn it like them

Hi, I'm a professional English Tutor and TEFL certified, for 20 years, I am also Slovenian but have lived in N. America most of my life. A great effort on your part to teach Slovenian!!! but would you mind some constructive suggestions? I would recommend that you pace yourself when speaking as people will find it difficult to keep up or even take notes. Additionally, breaking up your information into small manageable groups, and pronouncing the words more slowly and gradually increasing the speed of the pronounced word will be better comprehensively. Most of the Slovenian you spoke was on a casual basis, yes, you did mention it depends on whom you are speaking with..i.e. part of Slovenia...male/female...young old....stranger/friend, ("vi" "ti") it might be helpful for your students to hear and compare the differences. I have a friend in Canada who always bursts out laughting when she hears us say "FacebookU"....she's like what's with the "Facebooku" :D I could never explain to her over her laughing, but in any case [pun unintended] - I've recently watched a video about the Hungarian language and until that video I thought Slovenian language was hard, but it isn't. Hungarian is crazy complex.

Da is not more grammatically correct. Both ja and da are in SSKJ. No one ever says da in spoken language. It’s only used in very formal written situations. 😌😌😌😉😉😉

Your music it too loud for someone who's trying to learn Slovene AND understand what you say. I can assume you are saying what the subtitles say, but I cannot REALLY hear how you pronounce them. It is very hard to find really good content on learning Slovene on the web, but you seem to be putting a lot of effort into creating good content. Please turn down the music when you speak in Slovene so that it's easier to hear, speak and learn for foreigners who are trying to learn your beautiful language!
