What do you mean ?
Just found your channel. Thank you, good info. Subbed.
Thanks, I hope you enjoy the videos!
Wow! 🎉
hey, at 0:50 it looks like one of the pads for the driver heatsink mounting, doesn't have a hole. same on EF3-3 and -4 boards
Thanks for letting us know, I think it is just the render/picture though
@@danw1million cool!
It's just the render software
I would like the buy the PCB however I am sure the required components cannot be found here in India. It is a nightmare sourcing components after govt banned Ali express for some weird reason. Companies like element14, Mouser, Vishay, Digi key etc are least interested in addressing the requirements of people with in the DIY domain. Shipping to India costs 3 to 4 times the cost of the components.
It is the same here in Aus. Unfortunately good parts are costly.
Super impressive setup and a very stable measurement. 👌
Thanks! 👍
really good numbers 😊
Thanks! 😃
Very cool. Your videos are always a joy to watch :)
Thanks for the nice comment, I am glad you like the videos !
Where can I get the schematic for this amplifier?
Its on the DiyAudio forum
@stuartmp1974 I've already looked at around 100 pages on this forum in a post that I thought was the best option and I couldn't find his scheme, I found another one that, if I'm not mistaken, is called Spookyamp.

Hey Daniel, thanks for your superb videos. Do you have any info if there is a third group buy planned or what the future holds for people wanting to build this project? Thanks so much.
The is a group buy currently on the forum
@@stuartmp1974 Hi Stuart, thank you so much. I already send you an email for the group buy. Thanks so much for your care and this awesome project. :)
Thanks for your feedback - I hope the last video helped answer your question :)

Building a different amplifier through GB in diyaudio, this video is a great source of valuable knowledge and skills as well as much inspiration. Thanks for sharing. Danieljw.
Really nice example. Please could you put a list of parts and ancilliary boards you used in this example - things like the ground lift board, the softstart etc.
Thanks for the nice comments Mike, I would suggest to have a look in the wolverine build thread for this information. The gnd lift is here: www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/Ground_Lift_PCB_V1_1_173beed5.html#:~:text=Lift%20PCB%20V1.-,2,use%20of%20a%20bridge%20rectifier. The soft start boards were Virtual Zero Audio: facebook.com/virtualzeroaudio/ not sure if they are still around. I had to modify these a bit to work. Transformers are Toroidy brand. Case is from the diyaudio store (deluxe 5U) I hope this helps. - Daniel
Hi All, great project. I am very keen on building this - can anybody let me know how to get hold of documentation, schematics, BOM, gerbers etc? Thanks a lot.
Where can I get that soft start with trigger from?
Very greatful for the groups work on this project. Drooling for a chance to get some boards to start. I just put in for the second buy, however I think I am a little late to the party. Will there be another group buy soon? Or someone have a stock pile of boards (hopeful :~) ). DYIAudio name: TJChicago
Very nice walk-through! Much appreciated!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That sounds so much better on my laptop's 3/4" speakers! :)

Noob question: is it two powersupplys in series in the background to form ±64VDC? Nice build
Thanks for the nice comment, Yes it is 2 power supplies in series for -64Vdc, 0, +64Vdc
Dan- When you did the test, did you ground the board to the negative terminal of the power supply chain?
Hi John, No, the 0V point was the centre point of the two power supplies - there is a picture in the diyaudio wolverine build thread that might help - Dan
You have rigol psus and a siglent scope while i have the opposite haha. Rigol psus never go on sale here in Canada. Ive been so busy ive barely used my rigol mso5354.
Im renovating my shop then getting all over this. What speakers should i buy with a 900 to 1000cad budget? I have power studio monitors i record with but i want to listen to my record and cd collection through this beast. I already have a very ostentatious visualization plan since im an led collector. I measured all the wood for my shelving and plan to have my reno finished by this weekend. If anybody wants any type of led and I have it then just ask and id be more than happy to mail some out. I have more than ill ever use in 10 lifetimes. What is the average bom price for the parts for a build of your quality excluding the board and heatsink? Incredible audio circuit and project. I plan to document my build as well. The blue pcb with the gold looks sublime. Congratulations to everybody involved and thank you for building this and releasing it. Ive been building silly little breadboard circuits planning my own ans when i heard about this it knocked my socks off.
Great work. I cant wait to build mine.
Thank you

The amount of effort and dedication that went into creating this video is truly commendable. It's evident that the Daniel took his time to ensure that each and every detail was thoroughly explained, leaving no room for confusion. I have no doubt that this video will become an invaluable resource for our community. Its informative content covers a wide range of topics that are relevant to amplifier builders of all levels of experience. The video has undoubtedly raised the bar for the quality of content within our community, inspiring us all to strive for excellence in our own projects. I am genuinely grateful that this video was created and I have no doubt that it will revisit it numerous times in the future. Thank you once again for your incredible contribution to our DiyAudio community!
IS very interesting how these guys are regarding audio throwing everything they can to the mix in order to get the lowest THD possible ... even at 2:00 hack the hell up a nice board with a nasty wire.... and that's cool and fun, no judgment
I appreciate your participation in this community and your eagerness to contribute. However, let's try to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere for everyone involved. It is worth noting that while this modification may only bring slight improvements across the full bandwidth, it is still a topic of discussion for some individuals. We have acknowledged that it is not a vital modification, but it can be interesting to explore nonetheless for users that want the Lowest THD If you have difficulties or concerns regarding placing a small piece of wire on a PCB, it might be helpful to ask for guidance or further explanations. Let's focus on constructive discussions and learning from one another.
@@stuartmp1974 Thank you.... as I said, not judgment I just find it very interesting.
The feedback trace can have a massive impact on distortion hence the options we have provided to try and find the best location along the way. We have now settled on the best location
@@stuartmp1974 So the goal is to reduce inductance on that trace bypassing rout 1 and route 2 of the NFB network right?
No, it's about loop area, and how the high currents in that area generates magnetic fields and how those magnetic fields get coupled into the feedback trace.
It's not wireless ? :). Nice work sir !
One day Jason, one day...
Thank you!
Thanks for the positive feedback !
Just placed an order for the Wolverine & EFS3-3. I don't currently own a DC power supply -- is that a problem? I had assumed that one could do the setup in situ, by connecting piece by piece to the PSU and making adjustments as necessary. I've not received access to the guide yet, so it's possible it's covered in there?
Hi Stin, The build guide has information on power supplies - Dan
Super video series! It's motivating me to build this amp. 👏👏 Looks the best part is done, now the boring stuff comes: turning this into an actual finished product, building power supply, protections, wiring in the box. All stuff I hate to do. 😒
Thanks for the nice comments. There are more videos in the works as the build gets completed.
Just found this build series, loving your neat detailed work. I don't need another amplifier, I really don't need to build another amplifier 😃
Everyone needs another amplifier. I won't judge 😀
Cool to see, thanks for making the video! Which driver and output transistors are in the amp for this measurement?
Thanks Chris! I am using 2SC4793/2SA1837 drivers and NJW3281/NJW1302 outputs
@@danw1million That's Interesting, I wonder how the more readily available MJE1503X transistors would compare in measurements. Its such a shame that Toshiba are getting rid of all their transistor production.
@@chrisroberts2266 They are a viable alternative, do you plan to try them in a Wolverine build ?
@@danw1million I do, I have 3 pairs of EF-4 and 2 pairs of EF-3. I've ordered some of the A1837/C4793 drivers you are using and will build a pair for doing some measurements for comparing them with the MJE versions.
@@chrisroberts2266 That is great, would love to hear how you go with it.
Bloody amazing !

Amazing dedication ! Nice one mate ! How much would it cost more or less to populate the 3 boards ? Thanks
A few hundred dollars, depending on how many premium parts you choose
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the nice comment, great work on your channel too mate 👍
Fantastic build...congratulations
Thanks for all the nice comments 😀
@@danw1million just wondering is it possible for a lower power version around 50-75 watt? Just to save some cost on heatsink and transformer. They are quiet expensive
@@Mrhifitunes There is a 3 pair version also which would work very well
@@danw1million what the output of that one? I want to lower the power because i don't really need that much and also to safe cost on expensive big transformers and headsinks
@@Mrhifitunes there is an option to use lower supply rail voltages. Also you dont need to run full power all the time 😀

Thanks for the nice comment :)
I made the logo "Wolverine" 2:29 I'm happy to see on the boards nice 😊
Thanks :) The logo is great 👍
Very nice. I'm trying to fill the BOM now before supply gets any worse. I just got everything together for the Honey Badger and will start any day. I need to try to work through the decisions relative to the Wolverine. I try to build whatever I use and don't really have a speaker that I would build around. So I am trying to find a good generic set of choices. I lean toward higher efficiency speakers so far so I don't expect to have anything challenging to drive. Anyway, congratulations. Very nice looking shop and build.
Thankyou for the nice feedback and good luck with your build !
