The boys are out tonight! Always. 😉👌
if d boon played bass, he’d be Matt.
Battering Ram was one of those " Just woke up and My Mind is already playing Music " took me till NOW and like 2 hours to find/remember. This . Thank You
Remember i bought this at Vindictives singers Record store Joey's #DummyRecords . Chicago Punk IS aboriginal
Tf is this?
Awfull. I listened as I love the Misfits, this version is not a tribute to them.
<3
The days they refused to acknowledge Operation Ivy.
Because they weren't playing upstrokes?
Que lindo !
51 yr old hardcore kid here. This is absolutely essential to me! I remember the apt I lived in and the first time I played this, in A2, MI!
RANCiD☠ FOREVER!🤘
This kicks ass! My favorite band since I was 13
I bought this from Lookout Records around 1996 or so. I think it's the best thing they ever put out.
Agree
Definitely up there. That's a tough call. Mine would be either the Blatz/Filth split or "Energy."
@@HipsterEatinShark Oh yeah, that's the best release by Lookout, I meant that this 7" is the best thing Rancid ever put out. I should've specified that, sorry. But yes you're correct about Filth/Blatz.
@@zach_diecast_mansur Gotcha, was misunderstanding 👍🏻
@@zach_diecast_mansur yeah this, some of the early bootleg stuff, and the self-titled album from 2000 are basically the only thing I can stand listening to by them now that they've been out of ideas for good music for 20-some-odd years now hahahhaah
Track List: 1. I'm not the only one 00:00 2. Battering Ram 02:44 3. The Sentence 05:39 4. Media Controller 07:16 5. Idle Hands 09:13
It sounds great but it is amazing how many times I think you can do this with the game and it is used in the fewer ways than that and 3 years ago
HUHHHH?? Lol
I am reporting from the future. We still lack the technology to translate these codes into human words.
Matt freeman bred red Tim armstrong
Kings👑
Fuck this is great
this and the filth 7"are the first two records I ever bought, even got to see them with econochrist before they went all poppy, holy shit that sick
ありがとう!!
Cool version and it sounds good
In a sea of low production that bass tone sounds amazing
This is a masterpiece ! in 1992 i was 14y old :/! love ya guys from Italy
reminds me of the L.Js - shit tim puts out songs like a junkie whore puts out cigarettes...constantly
RAW. fucking RAW
I had an original 7" of this but it was lost, does anyone have one or know how get one? I will literally shit money.
pipeghost86 86 discogs
It pops up on ebay every now and then, started to become harder to find a few years ago
Yeah I found one on eBay about 5 years ago
how much money?
I have one I bought in 1996 from Lookout Records, so it's close to being an original print, but still not the holy grail of prints for this 7" or anything. If I can find it, I'll totally sell it to you.
Miss all these classic Lookout! 7"s.
its an honor having this e.p on a 7", no doubt about it
i totally agree. rare as shit.
Never knew about it till now
Someone commented this old shit is their best with let's go being their peak? Fuck no, Indestructible, life won't wait, the black&white album,.... Out come the wolves, those 4 albums are way bomb shit. This shit is good but it's sloppy. Lars added what made them last this long. Without Lars joining, they probably wouldn't have lasted very long.
i agree, this isn't bad but it doesn't hold up next to masterpieces like out come the wolves and life won't wait...
Lars ruined Rancid.
Idk first album was awsome without lars Hyena, Rats in the hallway, Whirlwind, Outta my way, Trenches dont remember rest but awsome album i still love lars though
My favorites are their untitled 1993 and untitled 2000 albums. I think that I like them the most since they are just simple fast stuff (no ska, although some of their ska-stuff is alright). Their first untitled album (1993) doesn't have Lars on it, but I won't go as far as to say that Lars destroyed the band. As far as I know, their only album that I dislike is Life Won't Wait, And Out Comes the Wolves isn't that great, but I don't dislike it.
If you didn't see them live without Lars you might want to sit down. They were WAY better. Felt like they were going to run off the stage midsong and start beating the shit out of you.
Makes me feel like a battering ram! I am the battering ram!!
This fucking rules
Did this shit just go up 2k views over night ??
Lookout!!!
Hell ya! Check out Larry's book.
Edward F. Pignataro IV huh?
There 2014 album is good kinda the older sound honor is all we know still jam to the old shit to
Oh and thanks for putting this out. I haven't heard these songs in years.
I saw these guys on Olympia while they were still a 3 piece only knowing they were ex Operation Ivy. Matt duct taped the pick in his hand cause he cut his hand or something and then they just killed it. Playing some of these songs and off the self titled The next day I started a new band completely motivated by that show.
That's awesome!
You were blessed!
They came to Hampton Virginia back then. I had already bought the tape. We tried to get Matt to play Sound System. He said we dont dont do them songs anymore and Tim cant sing like that anyway, but I got something for ya. They opened with Radio. I was truly lucky to see them that early on over here on the east coast
Lucky!
Ex Op Ivy? You mean 2 members of Op Ivy minus the lead singer. Why does everybody think Tim was the lead vocalist of Op Ivy? Thats like saying Lars is the lead singer of Rancid. Jesse Michaels was the lead and Tim was guitarist and back up vocals
cool i found this great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They started in 91. This came out in 92. So, no it didn't.
This was supposed to be a reply to @whenpooflies 's comment
This album came out before rancid started...
How'd you work that out? And it was an ep not an album!
🤣🤣🤣
@@davidcochrane1993 🤣🤣🤣
This old stuff is their best, Let's Go being the peak.
I second this
@@doubt7458 I third it. ( though "out come the wolves" is by no means on the downward slide, but the first two records and this EP stand alone existing in their own realm of punk perfection)
