So what of connecting flights?😢
It depends on the connection--what are the flights/routes? I can let you know what you'll need to do :-)
😊😊😊
Thank you so much ❤
My pleasure :-)
Thank you for a very nice video! Does anyone know which exit door is close to United Airline bag recheck counter? I will have to pick up my parents there and would like to find an easy spot to meet them up before a connection flight. Thank you!
Go to 8:00 in the video, you'll see airline recheck desks briefly to the left. They then go out what I've labeled Door #3. At 8:43 in the video I zoom in on the sign showing exit door 5D, so you can meet them there. I hope this helps, and enjoy the visit with your parents :-)
@@stacymcintyre1796Thank you so much!
Place doesn't look as welcoming as SFO airport, but it gets the job done for now until full renovation is restored.
I haven't been that far west yet. O'Hare T5 is looking better every time I'm there, but that long walk is not going to get better.
@@stacymcintyre1796 Agreed, the customs isn't that beautiful, lol. *
That’s a very long walk
It really is! I think Google Maps tracked at 3/4 of a mile. I'm a slow walker and it takes me 17-20 minutes to walk a mile, so I think it's closer to one mile. The good thing is that there are two restrooms along the way if needed.
@@stacymcintyre1796 thanks for the advice
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
Summertime. Looks good right now.
Thank you so much , Guy
You are very welcome. I went through this terminal again on February 18, 2024 and it's exactly the same--they've added lovely decor to look at so it's not just plain, white walls.
It was just confirmed by American authorities side that we are flying back to America, this time we are resided in Chicago. Thanks. This is prompting our flights to Chicago. Thank you guys.
Did you stop in Chicago and stay for a while, or was it a connecting flight? I'd love to know how it went for you.
Question: I'm flying back to Toronto making a connection into this airport after flying in from Japan. I have NEXUS which includes Global Entry as part of the program. I should be able to use the Global Entry line as well correct? Also, if I use the GE line, what is the estimated time to get through? I only have a potential 1 1/2 hour layover in the airport and I need to get to Terminal 2 for my Air Canada Flight.
Great questions, and another thing for me to learn! At this site ( www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/nexus ) this is what it says for NEXUS benefits: 1. Receive expedited passage at NEXUS-dedicated lanes; 2. Utilize Global Entry airport kiosks.
Using the GE line is very quick, almost too quick if that's possible! You walk up to one of the kiosks that are free and almost immediately it asks you to stand still so it can take your picture. Seconds later it will tell you to move on to the agent at the end of the row of kiosks. They are so good that they already know who you are and tell you to move on through--they may address you by name to be sure, but I've never had to stop here. It took me longer to type this than it does to go through that line!
About your connection to T2 and the short connection time--it will help if you have carry-on luggage only, but either way, the move to T2 is fast and simple. After you exit the secure area (see the end of my video), instead of heading to door 5D which is to the right, go a bit to the left and look for the escalator. Take that up just one level to the trams--these go to each of the other three terminals, so just exit at T2. If you have to check bags, you can do it there, or, I've read that you can go ahead and recheck them at T5 after exiting the secure area. Let me know if I can answer any more questions. Happy travels!!
@@stacymcintyre1796 Thanks for the answer. Yes that was my experience when I used the GE Kiosks back in Toronto when I was going to the US.
@@stacymcintyre1796 I do have checked luggage so this will be a problem. I'm waiting for Air Canada to call me to see if they can change it to another flight which gives me more time. Air Canada sent me an email regarding these changes today and I didn't apply them yet. Fingers crossed.
I went through Ohare customs in May of 2023....... it was a nightmare! It took an hour from leaving the airplane to getting through customs.
For regular customs (no Global Entry or Mobile Passport Control) that's fairly normal. I'd be more concerned if it was closer to or more than 2 hours. If you don't want to pay for Global Entry, try Mobile Passport Control--it's completely free and I've heard people get through using MPC just as quickly as those with GE.
I traveled from Tokyo to Washington, DC, with a connection in Chicago O'Hare. It was a nightmare as well. I missed my connection, so the airline rebooked me on a later flight, and I almost missed that because of a hold-up at customs. I remember two United agents waiting for me at the domestic terminal rushed me through airport security and took a golf cart to the gate. A few people on stand-by had to deplane, and one of them was my college enemy, which I found hilarious. She was pissed at me for no reason.
@@dchang11 wow, that's crazy! I can't speak to having an international connection through ORD, but I do think it says a lot about the airport/airline staff who stepped up to help you make the connecting flight. I had a similar experience at REF last summer--even at passport control someone let me cut ahead of everyone so I could run to the next gate. You got a ride in one of those carts, though, so that's pretty cool!
My flight is going to be Delhi, India - Tokyo, Japan - Chicago, USA - Kansas City, MO. Meaning I have a domestic connection from ord. After immigration and customs is there a place to again drop off baggages that I picked up?
Thanks for the question! After customs, you will leave the secured area of Terminal 5 (T5), and after that you will have to start all over as if you just arrived at the airport. If you have bags to check, go to your airline's ticket counter to drop them off, then you go through TSA screening again. Here's the thing though--most likely you'll have to go to a different terminal for your connection, which means you'll have to take the tram. Can I ask what airline and flight number you're taking to KCI? T5 has Southwest Airlines now, so if you're taking them, you'll stay at T5.
@@stacymcintyre1796 I read that after you went through the last custom and if you have an connecting flight with united you can recheck your luggage before taking the ATS to T5. Do you know more about that? Kind regards!
@@brianschneider6815 According to flychicago.com: "Passengers with a connecting flight, and who have been checked through all the way to their destination, should claim their luggage, then drop it off with an airline attendant at the recheck counters located directly outside of the CBP processing area." I'll post the link below this comment.

@stacymcintyre1796 thanks for the link. I'm flying from Germany to CA via Chicago on the 19th. ORD is a tad bit intimidating, I have 2 hours(maybe a little more) to get from T5 to T1😅. I think it's doable🙏
Thank you so much, hopefully, it will help me a lot!!
You're very welcome! The changes are close to being completed, so hopefully it won't change much more from this. 😊🧡
Well, he is paid more than million dollars a year to cry!!! What a cheap acting to brainwash some more idiots!!! This is so disgusting!!! Why didn't he cry when his Biden has killed more than half a million children in Iraq?
Shut the fuck up, i dont know what in your sick mind do you think Biden killed half a million Iraq childern? Let’s think about the other things othe people have done that were more cruel than Biden... WW2, we sent kids into war to fight for us. Millions of children died, and we celebrated when we won
