I heard so many horror stories about the proctors and it makes me nervous. I am studying through a community college, but we only get one voucher. I would hate to waste it, but I have test anxiety as well & would prefer to be at home plus the closest testing facility is over an hour, and I have driving anxiety which would not go well before my exam.

Wow I can relate to everything you said it describes my experience except that I didn’t pass on my first try to I’m going to retake it again. Right now I’m just studying again but I will definitely look at the videos you recommended because yes 2.5 minutes to answer 100 questions was insane and that was my downfall because I didn’t finish on time but thank you for sharing your experience I really appreciate it and congrats to you on being a coder 🎉❤

I’m self studying for the most part. I’m looking into state funding for classes that include the CPC voucher and the Praticode. What helped me was TikTok and RUclips. I had to filter for recent uploads for the most accurate information.

I have an associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding and I tried 5 times to take the CPC exam and each time something happened I had to reschedule! The last time I thought I was moving on to the next question and it ended the test! I have almost given up on taking the exam!

I’m currently sitting in the parking lot awaiting to take my CPC exam, you can use the previous year books to test for the current year…2023/2024 books for 2024 etc.

I have been looking into preppy, still on the fence about it, and then I was looking into Penn Foster too.. I want a course I can do on my own pace, not like a scheduled community college, yanno? Congrats! I took my CPC cert exam on 05/31 and passed. That was my second try. Honestly, I didn't really study that hard. Just took all the practice exams. Took it at home so I didn't have to drive to the testing center. Working now through the Practicode to remove the apprenticeship. I did mine within 2 months on my own directly with AAPC. They only give you 5 months to complete the course but you have a year to take your certification exam.
