You forgot the railing for the staircase 😊
I am surprised you didn't add mounting brackets for the staircase 😮
You gave dirt away and got dirt 😅
Congratulations 🎊 👏
then you only need to knock up the asphalt and concrete again, in order to carry out the sewer connections correctly!!! so that waste water, other liquids, possibly oil into our groundwater. once you're up and running, there's a lot of other things that aren't super good either, but you'll probably figure that out one day
@@amdiammundsen9469 what do you mean? This is how its been connected for 50 years. Into the sewer
I don't think you could have hired nobody to do as good of a job as you did, that turned out nice, you also have a nice family, everyone helped can't ask for anything better, the time doesn't matter.
@@thomasevans2309 thanks bud! Appreciate it
52:40 if only there was something that you could put under the tires that was in abundance that would give you traction :) All that gravel you just dumped haha
Finished the 2hr driveway video and guess what I searched for next 🤭
Just realised now that I have invested 2 hours into this project, and now I want to see the other parts being done. 😮😊
@@davidjoel3155 awesome! Enjoy the second part!
Lucky someone took the soil drive looking ok maybe the lady were your talking soil will ask you to level her garden 🏡 you never know thumbs up 👍😎
You have every right to be super proud of yourself.
man, your music choice is top tier
Im liking it, I run a garden structures company in Liverpool UK and want to start using Sketch Up, CAD is so expensive and not user friendly, any heads up would be appreciated, Thanks Rob. (Rob Ward Smalley Ward Ltd).
thanks! honestly, just start now, if you have any question about sketchup, ask google or youtube, someone has explained it and made a tutorial about it, its very simple. once you get it, you got it.
@@mateostabio Thanks man, which Sketch up package should i sign upto in your opinion, we build deckings Pergolas Garden Rooms, all quite basic ?
My back hurts watching. Bro needs a $7500 ride-behind mini skid steer coulda cut the timeline in half.
yea, for sure would of been so nice to have.
An experienced operator would’ve made the biggest difference on time and cleanliness. Kudos for getting it done, most people would’ve too intimidated
@@JasmineVillanueva-l9i 💯💯. I think I wanted to do it for the experience
You could have completed this video in less than 1 hour if you would just not talk so much! Bla-bla-bla... 😞
sorry bud. no one forced you to watch it. skip the talking?
rn this video has 999k views
This is not very professional, girls. I take a piece of bent material like a radius or cardboard. And I paint it and cut out a template and do it around the template.😅
That sounds like a good technique
I have done this type of work for 30 years in Europe.. Here 99% of driveways are pavers we don't use Asphalt or Concrete in driveways .) In short for me its both painful and amazing to watch =) The amount of energy you use to do the work is easy 3x what I would have used =) But as you said in the Vid you work with what you have, and there is only one way to compensate for lack of experience and equipment and that is just to work Harder and longer hours =) .. The end result was amazing and also nice video =) Keep it up and remember to take care of the body as well its hard on the body to work like this ..
Indeed! Thanks for watching!
Those beams don’t look like regular pressure treated lumber. Are they LVL? Where can I get that in Montreal. Love the build btw.
@@shaahinflamenco its hemlock. 8x8. X 20 ft long. call up saw mills theyll cut a tree for you 😂
I’m sorry I thought you were pouring concrete please forgive me on that one
You should have used a lot of your dirty to fill in all you need is at the most four inches of concrete just saying everyone has there on way keep up the good work
Surely you are not going to pour 18” inches of concrete on a driveway just asking
@@ronniewarren9551 lol probably not
I think I have a new fav youtube channel 😅 it’s official 🎉
I lived in Quebec, that concrete will crack within 5 yrs, but awesome job man. Next step, move from Qc to USA lol
Haha lol. Why do you say it will crack? Just because we’re in QC? Or because simply its concrete? I dont mind if it cracks a little the previous one was just dusty, crumbling and really terrible level surface to start building out the shop. Would be nice to own down south as well to leave our winters!
I started to follow when he said that he need to be realistic now 😂 I loved the honesty because DIYs projects are actually like this.
🤣😂😅You are just too FN Funny!!!
Hey man, please get some steel toe work boots. Speaking from experience. 😅
@@lenardgor thanks man. But i think I’ll keep rocking adidas shoes on my feet and I’ll be that guy on youtube, until Adidas wants to collab and make nice work shoes 😂
Loved every part of this video - the goal, the meticulous execution, and the lovely family helping along the way. You are a wealthy man sir.
@@Retrobrio thank you sir. Appreciate the comment and glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
I'm sure you can find awesome woodworking plans on WoodPrix
I don't even have a house and I like your videos man!!! If you ever need an extra set of hands for something, I'm not living that far, just ask! :)
@@MaximeBrochu thanks man!
Man I’m impressed that your wife even let you start this project. I restore antiques(furniture, tools and homes) for a living and each time I say something like “ I bought new tile for the entryway for the house, she says “Great! Who do you want me to call to get it done?”😂🤣 She know that after almost 40 years of marriage that I always put a client or friends project first. I designed and put in a new kitchen 7 years ago and it looks beautiful except that I still haven’t trimmed out the door to the deck, one wall of baseboard and the window. I keep promising myself I’ll get to it but things always get in the way. She works from home so I won’t want to work while she works and she doesn’t want the noise when she is off work so I am planning on surprising her when she does the Thanksgiving groceries by getting it done, I already have the wood so it’s just cutting finishing and installing. My bet is she won’t even notice😂🤣😂Will serve me right to. Good job on tackling this, I didn’t think you could do it in 7 days by yourself but I have done several paver driveway before with a crew of 6 and we were pushing it. That is one labor intensive job. Congratulations on your perseverance it looks great!
Thanks for that. Yea, I am the same not gonna lie. I was actually thinking of making a video of why things are never completed around my house 😂. Why a diyer has so many non-completed projects. Well for me its because I always wanna start the next one haha
To make it easy you should hire a construction helper but its all looking very great
Same as drywall you can do the prep work but I like to call in a finisher to work with me for pro results
I’ll just call @vancouvercarpenter for this one 😂. You can learn tho give it a try
Lmaoo wasn’t expecting that 💀💀😭 well done though 💪🏾
Sometimes egos get in the way of a job well done. I can't imagine you'd expect Ben to create and edit your videos starting tomorrow. It seems you think you'll be on his level the FIRST time you try concrete. All for DIY but recognize that money pays for experience and expertise you can't earn in an afternoon
💯💯💯. I wasn’t expecting perfection. But was hoping to have a nice finish. Thanks for watching!
Bro I shed tear of joy watching how well you did from start to finish. Having the family help was what did it for me. I’m a landscaper 3years of experience and this is easily a 60-80k job in some areas. Proud is an understatement fr fr. You deserve a cold beer from our community for getting the job done better than some hardscapers I’ve seen. 💪🏾💪🏾
@@lensmoise4886 thank you for this comment. Appreciate it and glad you enjoyed it! Cheers my friend
I love these videos , its been 5 days mateo i swear to god if you dont post again by next weekend, im digging that concrete up

2,100 dollars for pavers seems insane. I’m in Florida they are really cheap here I guess ?
Its the amount you buy that sets the price. How much for these permacon pavers. 1200 sq feet
What the hell are those saggy crotch jeans lol.
It would have made a good video of your Mother-in-law's "Reaction" to seeing the end of this video...That would have been interesting. 🤔

This was so good. Getting in an actual expert to explain it to you, a normie, is so much more helpful then most "pros" on the RUclipss.

The divorced mother in-law is on vacation in Italy and and you're doing her driveway for free? That's messed up.

Got tired just watching
where did you learn these skills?
@@nyustdent i just learned on other smaller projects. Like to use the saw for example. But for this i had never done joinery before. I just read a book and did a lot a lot a lot of research and watched other do it online
I just went for it clueless at the beginning of the summer. And had something by the end 😂
Knowing nothing, but I would have used a bulkhead to connect the ABS to the large drain. That caulk is going to break up and fall apart.
@@fbingha1 i kinda put that as an extra. But really I didn’t need it. I figured if i really need to in the future i could put it from inside the drain. Whats a bulkhead?
16:45 holy fuck someone take that thing from him..
@@SirSmokesAlott take it
@mateostabio that's what I'm saying. Lol If you didn't know, you should have been in the other side of the grinder. And lower to the ground. Not hating, just saying. Lol
Thats a better comment. Thanks for sharing some knowledge. Makes sense now looking at it
@@mateostabio Everyone always has something to say, but seriously holding it from that off angle on that side of the grinder is sketchy. You always want it pulling away, never pushing towards you. One little jump and it could have ran towards or possibly up your leg.
