All my Steam Locomotives pt 3
The British engines from almost every time period are coming this time, and some cool famous engines, with the Flying Scotsman leading. I would like to dedicate this to the lives that were lost in the Perl Harbor attacks, and to the Americans who fought alongside British in the early stages of world war II.

HO Scale Steam - A Diecast Dilemma
Просмотров 1233 месяца назад
Put it this way, Steam locomotives are only done one right way in both HO and N scale, that of course is diecast. The Great Northern sent a number of its older Steam locomotives to a branch line in Oregon during the early 1940s, this trend continued into the 1950s, and it shows, some old steam are on this line. This Presented to me an Unprecedented Diecast Dilemma in that it was mostly models f...

not sure what to call a pinsetter without going too far from my channel subject, but for this I am just referring it as a locomotive since it moves. it malfunctioned and the poor maintainer was struggling to fix it, it took several attempts but he eventually succeeded, meanwhile Rachealmurray69 (a fellow sub) was laughing hysterically.

Would you do New York Central J3a Dreyfuss 5406 with the New 20th Century Limited.
Why yes, I certainly would, I found It on the DLS, the Dreyfuss hudsons are numbered 5445 and 5453 on the DLS, so I got 5445, quick question is it consist 1 or 2?
@@CodysTrainz yes My Favorite 1929 Lima Built J3a Class i lik it to blow a Boston & Maine 6 chime and a bell that swings.
I'll try but there are two problems, the J3A (unless your referring the OG J3) never had swinging bells, I can try to configure 5426 (my existing engine) to a free swinger using the config seg from my USRA Mikado, then stamping a B&M 6 chime whistle.
Nice unboxing
3371 failed the trials a week ago, and it was taken out of service temporarily, I still have parts for it, mallet no. 1902 is also Out of service, it needs some work done on it. The Mehano Engines will be shown in another video.

This was painfully hard on my PC graphics, thank goodness I am going to find a new graphics card soon.
The unit PNWR 3006 is no longer on the roster. It was sold off to Utah Railway in 2023.
You did not read the notes, this was filmed sometime ago, I did not get around to posting this until late.
That was an update change
great video 🚅🚅🚃
nice operations :)
To get them to creep I adjust Vstart until it reliably starts to move on speed step 1. Usually I can get them creeping really well, around 1 to 3 scale Mph. I'm still learning all of the complicated motor "kick" adjustments. It seems to be different for every decoder manufacturer.
There is a reason why I run her at this speed, the locomotive was cutting out on my track, not sure what is causing this problem, I think its a condition with my house circuit.
Ok, I hope you get if figured out. For me it's usually because one of the trucks are not picking up power. You can test this by lifting it up slightly on each end while it's running and see if it cuts out.
Night shots are tricky, I've been trying to get good ones for years.
I would suggest taking one in the daytime with the lights turned off, then use a "Night" Filter in your editing software.
She had been pulling heavy loads that are considerably more than 2105. 603 can haul 10 cars on level track, 7-8 cars on my 0.48% grade on the floor layout.
Awesome Cody
Thanks
Cody 3751 could you same time video a Portland & western freight train street running on a street in Rainer, Oregon please
Well I plan to take a trip to rainier, but sitting and waiting for trains that don't have a scedule is just a lot of work, I would get a train scanner but they are so expensive and difficult to set up for monitoring trains. I could go over to the SCC chamber of Commerce which is a former BN and P&W train station, or I can visit the New Saint helens depot, but Last Time I tried to get a scedule or a copy of one, they said "we don't follow a scedule, trains come and go" which wasn't very helpful. I hope they have a scanner too.
@@CodysTrainzdoes train go slow instead going fast?
@@leonardovelazquez8788 i'm sure they do, It's the rules that freight heading down streets has a 10mph speed restriction, and on the line the trains on this section of track can safely go 25, but can go 40 in some sections.
The unit 3051 is sent to Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern for an overhaul and it's still testing there. 3004 will soon to be scrapped this year.
@@leonardovelazquez8788 someone told me of that, also 3051 went on a BNSF train

Oh and would love to see more of the layout. Finished or not. 👍🫡🤓
No Sir! Very cool. INDEED! 👍🫡✌️🤠
Super. The SD-9 would fit right in on my railroad. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.
The KCS (CPKC) E6 is so cool looking, It's got it's own train.
Are you using Scale Sound Systems speakers? FYI…S0848 is the low idle version of the file. F5 is rotary beacon and F6 front ditch lights by default
I used stock speakers, but I used my lok programmer to set the volume to "High Dynamic Throttle Ratio" which is what the sound file does have. This is an early production model which does not have beacons or ditch lights.
@@CodysTrainz Definitely swap those stock speakers with Bowser or Scale Sound. They’re leagues ahead of the crappy stock speakers
@@CentralJerseyRailfan 3057 is down right now, she's got "tendonitus" on her rear truck. But 3042 is still working good, being the "factory warranty" geek I am, they won't fix 3057 if she does not have the stock speaker, i'm still waiting for atlas to respond to my email about her condition.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I just got to 100 subs, I will do a live stream on trainz later.
The GN diesels are DC but the outside loop train is DCC, the layout will be more flexible in terms of ops in the near future. The steamer is from the ancient builder but its DCC sound.
I was off by one year for Kobe Bryant's Date of Birth, it's Actually 1978, and They also traded an existing player for Lebron James early in the season so I did that by getting rid of someone who had poor defense in favor of LJ. In other notes James O Hare did not like it when He allowed me to go let the CPU run the game, so to make it up to him I played 7 more games off camera with me controlling the lakers, we only won 3 out of 8 so far, we are currently 3-5.
This video is dedicated to my late friend Robert Bonner, who was a Great Northern Fan like myself. May he rest in peace.
great video 🚂👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
great video 🚅🚅👍
2415 has become my spirit locomotive, there are many others besides her though.
This video just hit 603 views, how fitting. Can anyone tell me your favorite locomotive in this video?
606 has a sound decoder from MRC which at the time it was manufactured was an investment of 150 dollars in 2009, by 2013 it was superceded by ESU's lok sound 4.0 decoder in terms of popularity but it was not until 2016 that walthers fully embraced ESU with their newer Lok Sound Select and Lok Sound 5.0 sound decoders, MRC never regained the market share back. Now we have much more reliable decoders from ESU and Soundtraxx.
Before I started running trains I simulated the first month of the railroad ops using my "rail baron calculator" and it said I pulled only 4 trains with the last one coming out with 0.593, Yeah not good, I did another recently and it came to 4.775 per train which is a massive improvement.
Sweeeeet
Great train sounds 👍
Glad you enjoyed, 603 Had a New Chassis put in her which did not have sound originally but contained a speaker already installed, thus when I installed what they reccomended which was an ESU Lok Sound Essential Retail Sound Decoder which was priced right, the B unit has a 21 pin Lok Pilot Decoder but I plan to get a sound decoder in the future.
The Sound in the SD60M is unbelievably loud, I later found that I used the wrong horn and bell, let me explain. In 2004 a number of Ex BN SD60Ms were rebuilt and painted in the BNSF H2 Scheme originally Equipped with EMD Steel Bells and a RS3L-R, they were re equipped with Graham White "E Bells" and K3LA Horns to match the Dash 9's.
Also I must Point out the Model Itself Is a Rebuilt Life Like Proto 2000 Model that had its gears replaced by the seller, and also was DCC ready but in 2005 they did not make them sound ready, that wasn't a thing until a few years later, luckily the Dynamic Brake Area in front provides enough room for a speaker if you remove the internal detail which isnt required due to it being not visible to the naked eye.
Bus 14 has been our best locomotive so far, it has been stealing 2105's thunder. But I think a 4 axle locomotive in between bus 14 and 2105 is in order. I also have SD40-2 no. 6792, and lease loco SD40-3R no. 3067.
I have a Bus in Penn Central black. Got it used 35 yrs. ago and have never had to replace anything in it. Still one of my favorite runners. Hauls whatever and how much I put on it. The 1370 pwr. pack is on my test bench for N/HO and is flawless also.
Bus 14 is in fact a Universal Series Diesel of some kind, The Nickname comes from the fact that is massively overpowered and has insane speed. I can't tell anyone what it is until the end of the episode after the next one which is going to be myself finding deals at a train show followed by expanding my N scale layout.
great short video merry Christmas happy new year👍🌲🎆
For a low revenue line, it has some top quality rail line. To fit the theme you may want to find some old used atlas track.
The reason why is because Columbia Western left it in class II rail specs, which means trains can go 25-40mph and CM&E maintains it within that realm. Just thought that KATO track would fit the bill, and I have no desire to use N scale outside of floor tracks with roadbed.
great video 🚅🚅👍
