How to replace ignition coils on a 2001 camry.
2001 Toyota camry.
Almost 200,000 miles.
I'm feeling a small glitch at idle. Almost a blink in the RPM. Only happens at idle.
Jugger feeling at idle as well.
A little rough, even though the wires and plugs were replaced.
Tools:
You'll need 10mm Ratcheting wrench.
1/4 inch ratchet with 10mm socket.
Maybe use a 10mm offset spanner wrench could help.
Approx 1.5hr job.
It looks easy but an awkward place and awkward position with your fingers.
In the end, more power and better idle.

I believe that intermittent shut down was because I had the door open too long and air flow was very low, but it's working and drying again. Issue was worn out and a broken nickel chromium coil. It happens.

17mm wrench or 17mm six point short socket with a ratchet. Oil pan catcher, oil filter, few shop towels, funnel and oil sticker reminder. If you have a shop do the water pump job, have them double check their work. I didn't have time to do the job. 1500.00 later, jeez.

Do you find some solution for fix it?
@Omnissiah_Latino replace the shift valves. Or swap out the transmission but that cost more.
@jrfmechanical3058 my neon 2005 make the same , but the odometer is bouncing side to side, 2nd gear is the maximum shift, you think is shift valves as well?
@Omnissiah_Latino sounds like the gears for that speedometer is bad or the sensor that reads the speedometer is worn out.
The question, why the stupid nissan MFs didn't just extend with short tube can be accessed easily without all this unnecessary mess!!!
@LionGate-g2s i know right. Today, it comes down to cost and getting you to take it to the dealership or stealership.
Awesome !! We are car people. And I am extreme landscape & garden gal. This is perfect. ¥
MAF SENSER & DISCONNECT BATT & RESET COMP. BET IT WORKS
Mass air flow SENSER (MAF) WILL CAUSE OTHER CODES TO POP UP 125.00 BUCKS & 5 MINUTES ! MAF SENSER ! I LEARNED ! 😂HAVE FUN SEE THE MAF TELLS COMPUTER HOW MUCH GAS TO GIVE ENGINE ! WHEN FAULTY ITS SPERATIC ! CAR STALKS & WONT RUN RITE ! (MAF SENSER)
JRF Mechanical, cool video keep it up bro
Thanks, will do!.
Dude, stop making videos, you accomplished nothing with this one😂.
Of course they gotta hide the fourth one in the back 😂
Yep. Sucks. sometimes engineers don't think.
Do you disconnect the battery before replacing the starter relay???
@neiltsosie2795 is best to do that. Just do you don't short out or cause a problem.
Thanks for your video you breaking down so well I feel confident and probably save about $300-$500 at the dealer
It's PCV brother. PVC is a type of plastic tubing usually used for irrigation.
@@MrJwtaylor40 I said it too fast. Positive Crankcase Ventilation
That is your overdrive band! You see how your shifter indicates O around D? Someone couldve tightened a boot for that band! Vandalism possibly? Anyhow mine with all emissions sensors being changed its not fuel i dont believe yet many are saying MAF but its new so,has to be a transmission. Its fine before 19-20 and after! But im wondering if the previous owner put the wrong fluid in!?!
No earth on plug , but in the socket ?
Yep. Toaster, vacuum, and other appliances just don't have ground.
Oh i feel sick
Learned nothing
Jesus Christ if you shook the camera around a little more I might be able to see 🤦♂️
Does the transmission need to be in neutral or something? My dipstick looks nothing like that and i can't seem to get it off
When you checked it and reached that level on the stick was it cold or did you warm it up first?
Help my mastercool it’s leaking from Underneath no overflowing no cracks on plastic pan I already move the pads back and forth still leaking. Pads are 5 year old.
Change the pads. Sounds like they are rock hard and water is running right off of them. Or the top water distribution tube plugged up or spraying funny.
I bought mine at 134,00 it lasted to 250,000 I didn't think I'd love a neon but it's a super fun little car❤
I feel very lucky my little neon transmission lasted 250,000 miles 😮 this one bombed out at 134,000
Removing the left wheel and plastic fender liner gives you access to the tube and side filter.
SI NO PASA DE 2 VELOCIDAD ES CAMBIO DE ACEITE ATF +4 Y SU RESPECTIVO FILTRO BEST REAGARTS.
I think that insert could be fluid level overflow?
Yes
Thanks man!
Worked like a charm with knocking the starter. Thanks.
Thank you for the helpful part number bro!!
Excellent! Thank you!
Thank you for this video!! I bought a 09 Tiguan that had a hitch but couldn't figure out how to access the wiring connector!! I thought it wasn't installed correctly. Your video showed me how to release the connector! Thank you!!
Would the location of these parts be the same in the 2008?
I would think so. (Just like mazda 3 the same part from 2003 to 2009. Then manufacturer change it again. )
What's the 2016 Nissan Versa transmission fluid capacity?
Take the plug off and there a filler tube, any comes out, then that would be extra that needs to come out. If you drain it, then measure out approximately what you removed. There's other comments made on this question. Pretty easy, just sucks to have no dipstick.
Gasek?
Yes, gasket. Replace it. Silicone only, will leak. You can add Silicone on the corners.
The 2nd plug that came out is the fill tube, leave the 1st plug out and fill it up until it comes out the fill tube plug, put your 1st plug back in. It is so you don't over fill it
Correct
My man , modern problems require modern solutions.
😂 I came here for a plumbing issue 😂 dude that is so much easier
Not a sensor problem remove the map sensor and look if the pcv valve is missing or the o ring around the valve is missimg
Probley no pcv valve or missing pcv valve
Yep. Mudding missing.
Dude, what you called the MAP sensor, is where the PCV valve is.Push down and turn counterclockwise, pull up, and there's your pcv valve.
He’s lucky he didn’t break it twisting on it like that. What a Yokel
I don't think you had pcv valve in their to begin with, it didn't come out with the map sensor holder nor was it in the plenum from what I saw, regardless I hope u figure it out
I did.
Needs to take to auto zone to get diagnostics
Let me know how that goes.
This video was not very helpful as it did not show me how to get the new fluid into the transmission. Maybe that is supposed to be obvious but not to me. Do I get a long skinny funnel and pour it into the place where the dipstick is?
Sorry, i didn't provide that. Yes, a skinny one to fit in the transmission dipstick tubing.
Why does mine always run rough / stall for 3 or 4 miles after topping off gas tank ?
Unsure. But some things that can be done if you haven't done it. Clean the MAF sensor if equipped, tune up, change out the PCV , check any pending fault codes, O2 sensor faulty and maybe check for vaccum leaks. More undetected air is entering in and the Computer is adding fuel to make up for the extra air entering in after the MAF sensor. Hope that helps?
Yes. Very close. But half will def strip a 12.... very few cars use m both metelric and std. Most techs today havr zero need for std tools
Agree with you on that. Wish that impact set my friend brought for me. I added it to my mobility tool bag. But then i got new metric wrenches to add to my mobility bag now. Thanks.
The lugs are not 3/4, they are 19mm which is not the same as 3/4.
Need an impact socket. Two sizes in the auto repair range are almost identical. 19mm is 3/4 inch. just a . 05mm difference
By far this is awesome advice! It was going to make a huge mess. I was pissed they designed it like this knowing exactly what they were doing when they did it. My 98 dodge Ram is absolutely easy to access from the bottom this 98 ford lariat I absolutely hate! It has been nothing but 1 problem after another. Now I know why the guy was selling it. I will NEVER buy another ford again. Now I understand the found on road daily. Ironically I’m a Chevy guy that has a dodge & that recently got a ford, I will be selling the ford soon!
Horseshit video. Removing the connector is challenging as you need two hands but only one will fit.
Did you notice a drop in feul mileage
Yes
Your tutorial on changing the master cooler filter was excellent! The step-by-step guidance was spot-on, making the whole process a breeze.
PCV.....
Yep. PCV
I unscrew my filter till oil starts flowing out but leave the filter alone for 10 minutes. All the oil drains rearward and into my oil pan. Afterwards i replace the filter. Virtually no mess.
How so? It still will leak & drip on the metal below. It is blocked from dripping downward without dripping on something else 1st.
@@CaptainDickGs the metal beneath the filter has a shallow canal for the oil to flow and so you place your catch pan where that canal spills over. If you simply spin the filter off without pausing then it's too much oil for that canal to handle and more likely to cause a mess.
