BMW n62 v8 valves cleaning
Просмотров 702 года назад
Changed the valve stems on the engine and decided to just go ahead and change the head gasket as well. Then I decided well might as well cleaned up the valves since the car has like 190k on it. So here's a quick video of how I cleaned it.
Kettle Joe Smoked Brisket
Просмотров 8132 года назад
First time smoking a brisket on the Kettle Joe. It turned out really good. nice smoke ring, good juicy smoked meat, and very tasty. Total cook time was roughly 10 hrs. I rested it for about 3 hrs. One full basket of charcoal will last around 6 hours at low and slow temp in 37°F weather.

I got the idea from the guy in the video below, but I believe he worked on a 650i. I just want to make a video showing how I do it on my e60 550i since there were no one else that did it on my car like this. I don't know if it is identical to the 650i or not but it worked just like the guy mentioned so I hope this will help someone else that want to attemp this job if you have a e60 550i with a...

TruGreen Review - I Rather Do It Myself

1st scheduled appointment the guy didn't show up but the status for the work was completed on TruGreen website. Called TruGreen to complain and they scheduled another appointment on April 22, 2019. This is where the video comes in. The guy showed up for the work on the lawn and was in and out in roughly 10 minutes. Never step on the lawn once until the end of the video. Also I don't know why th...
You didn’t put any gas in it
My scooter did not come with set up instructions and the handle base connector to the wheel seems a bit off to the side. Is that normal?
So i shouldn't order this scooter? I was going to get it Wednesday.
Really smart with the washers , nuts and bolt to extend the height of the cooking space !
Doing the gasket on the bottom vent is a real game changer. Now every time I shut it down the fire goes out completely saving all of the charcoal. Before with just the lid gaskets it burned through all the fuel.
Mine was dead on arrival as-well and doesn’t work either terrible product waiste of money
Just got mine I a am pissed doesn’t work no matter what I do I spent 500 dollars for what this thing has poor quality it is a wasted of money I am returning it and getting a new one on a different brand don’t wastes your money
Hey I have one mine works but idk how to fix the speedometer
mine has a dam anoying beep .when it comes on and stays on. but runs and i cant find out why its beeping .there is no info on you tube about it .
Did you plug in the cable that connects the battery to the motor?
That's unfortunate. The charger should show red when connected and it's charging. Ours is a great bike! You would love it!
Thanks for the info! The charger shows green ever since I got it. Never once did it show red. I didn't buy a new scooter to have to fix it. Waiting for the return label to ship it back!
@@tweaklife9847 And you're sure that you plugged it in correctly? I would get another one. They're awesome! Bluetooth speaker, alarm, phone charger, lights, turn signals, and it goes 40+ mph on mode 3. I would want another one. The battery lasts very long.
@HippieHoller I mean I like it too from hearing comments like yours but kind of lost faith with this company so I rather not. They offer to send out another battery but then it's like I'm buying a new unit and have to open it up and fix it. What if it still doesn't work? Just too much of a hassle for me.
@@HippieHolleralso where do you see a bluetooth speaker on it? The one I got don't look like there's one at all.
Holy shit im looking at one of these right now, did you get a better one or fix it?
I can confirm it can be done this way, heatshield needed only very minimal bending.
Hi mate. Did you gave to do any mods to make it fit? Or did she just fit perfectly?

I feel bad for the snow birds . This sadly happens frequently with Tru fraud
And I thought my X5 N62 4.4I was a little rough, this one is a PIA to get out,but good job getting er done!
Completed in 3 hours with basic tools using this method! 🔥🔥 Confirmed 💯
Glad it worked out. Save a bunch $$$
If you guys see the pcv thing behind the engine it unbolts really easy you just take out the 2 bolts and plastic breather tube attached to it and pull it out the hard pipe is Inside the engine and wiggles out once the bolts holding it are removed! Nobody seems to show this during the process
Where this bolts are located?
@@andrii4you right on the pipe!
@@Icepressain my car there is two pipes from abs pump and there wasn't option to loose some bracket for them or soo, but finally I managed to remove starter even with this pipes
TruGreen sucks. Your lawn also kinda sucks. You need to dethatch, aerate, and overseed. Then water 4 times a day for 10 minutes per session for 1 month and you will have a nice new lawn. TruGreen isn't going to help.
Do i put the wites on before install or install wires when i get the starter in and secured?
Wire was used to help pull the starter out to remove it since the space is pretty tight.
i have a 2005 bmw 645ci with no start no crank issue. ive checked all the fuses and relays and there good. ive changed the ivm also. battery is good. So i finally bought a good bmw foxwell scanner and got this code A0C2/not present. CAS: Output, terminal 50 rs. Would this be the starter?
It sounded like you have no power to the terminal. If you are handy with a multimeter, see if you can trace it down. Make sure all terminal wiring from battery to the jump area are all tighten down good.
is it ok to put sealant so close to the coals? it doesnt smell funny?
No not that I can tell
Спасибо за видео. На bmw e63 645 получилось вытащить стартер твоим методом
Love it!!! Glad it helps
Yard looks burnt that what tru detail is if he sprays fert on burnt yard hell kill everything looks like he did u a favor..what were u charged for??
Hi, what kind of rotisserie do you have? I know Weber fits, I wonder other brands (onlyfire) fit well too?
All the 22 inch Weber stuff fits.
Do you remeber how did you move from 2:47 starter position to 2:58 position? Like rotated 180 degrees. I managed to get to the point from 2:47 and know I can't rotate the starter.
Great tips!
Thanks for the pointers, definitely had to loosen the subframe bolts to get the clearance along the fire wall, also taking the oxygen sensor out gave me more room to remove the heat shield and push the starter up. I probably wasted at least a hr before I realized I had to lower the frame a bit. Once I did that, it practically jumped out
Yea this method you didn't have to drop the subframe. But if u did that it's so a lot easier. But more things to remove from your method
That yard so fucked up even Tru green can't help it. You need to aerate and over seed or maybe even lay down new sod
How did you get the top bolt for the starter. I can’t get that loose at all
Long extension and swivel
Perfect for windy days! Nice job
Great video, thanks! Why did guys have to replace starter? What were your symptoms?
I remembered clicking on that start button but it didn't do anything. Then I started pushing and wiggling that start button harden thinking it will somehow make it work. But in reality at the beginning, it wasn't that bad so sometimes continuously pushing the start button cranked the car over, until one day it completely stopped working.
@@tweaklife9847 Yeah.. I'm dealing with that as well, but now it happes to me every other day. I will start with starter then. Thx!

Do you get smoking wood to burn up sitting down in the ash tray like you had it?
If you smoke it for more than 3 hrs then yes, put the thinnest wood down there. Other than that since I have the grate in now, the bigger chunk of charcoals don't fall down there so I usually add it straight inside
I had a 9" circle of scrap expanded metal cut & dropped it into the same spot on my Kettle Joe. Works like a champ for next to nothing.
Wonderful!!! Can't complain when you have stuff laying around for it.
Wow!!!!!!
Had them for some time, my yard looked horrible, and never improved. Started going to Home Depot, bought Scott's fertilizer, and immediately saw improvements.
Look this company would be doing great if y'all would just turn off your cameras lol...trust them , they do a great job when no one's looking
Thank you for this video!! Saved me from the hassle
How's the gasket holding up? I see the grill selling for $400 right now...debating it or just going with a weber Performer for $50 less.
Pretty good so far. I thought because of the aluminum or whatever metal construction of the grill that it will be very leaky and would burn through all the charcoal if you don't finish using it but as long as you close all vents, it will cut out the fire and save the leftover charcoal. So for me it's very good. Still use it all the time.
Lowes in my area has these for $199 at some stores now.
This is better than the Weber because it has a ceramic insert Firebox. Correct me if I'm wrong. I am a owner of a classic Joe only.
Many reviews state it has major problems with lid leakage, and gaps between the lid and base. I went with a slownsear kettle with their stainless.charcoal basket with water channel instead. Has improvements over the Weber but its own issues.
Mine isn’t bad. If I close the vents it will snuff out the charcoal for later use. The hinged lid needs to be adjusted properly. What I do if I change between the the slow roller and just the fast charcoal setting. Is to pull the height pin and lower it down and push slightly to make sure it’s seating good then tighten the knob. I don’t necessarily engage the pin again the knob holds it good. I got mine used cheap. I was looking for a Weber when I found it. Then did some research and am very pleased with the versatility. Sometimes I don’t want a lot of smoke or hot and fast and this does it all. A tip is put more charcoal than you think you need and it will heat fast then close the vents to your temperature and it will go half a day easy or all night and barely change temperature. And when you close the vents you have charcoal for next time.
This works, 2007 550i Thank you not to bad of a job All glory gos to yahuah

Kamado Kettle Joe. Support absolutely SUCKS!!!! Stay away from this product. Case @/345177 Ash tray melted on the 1st time use!!! Reported problem on 02/2022 still waiting for a response 06/01/2022. You only get support via a website robo chat!!! If I could add photos to this comment I would love to show you what it looked like.
Videos like this is what makes owning a bimmer a possibility lol!! Thanks for the big brain work!
well if anyone else wanted to have validation if the method works ??? I can tell you 100% it works and man does it save you alot. To remove the air inlets there are 4 bolts just under the inlets that are a bit hidden . if u have 2 people this process is alot easier too. one push from the bottom while the other pulls from on top . GREAT VIDEO MATE 👌🏾👌🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾. THANKS
Nice!!! Glad it worked for you. Just remember to put back that starter heatshield as best as you can or else the manifold will fry it super fast
@@tweaklife9847 I hardly had to twist mine up. So it's fully intact . 2 people made the difference for sure . 👊🏾👊🏾
your video seems to be the easiest on getting this thing out
I really wish you had showed how to remove the vent because I can't even locate the nuts that's holding this thing on to the firewall
Hmm let me check and see if i can find you some pictures on it
@LET'S ROLL OUT here you go. RUclips doesn't allow pics in comment. That platic nut is in the middle of the firewall right in the middle of the back of the engine. Then there one on top and two 10mm on the left and right sides as well. ibb.co/QY953nv
@@tweaklife9847 man I worked my way down to the starter only to find out there's a torque style bolt holding g he starter . Freaking g sucks ass . Why couldn't BMW just freaking use a regular head bolt for God's sake.
Oh man hmmm i don't remember having that style bolt. I take that back, yea those are the ones bolting the starter down. Yea you will have to loosen those underneath first
@@tweaklife9847 thanks for your video man . So far it's good . 👍🏾
This was a winter cook? If so that makes sense to only get 6/7 hours from a basket at 270F. In the warmer months you will almost double that at a 225/250 or at least get about 10/11hours.
Thanks for that info. I will have to try it one of these days and see since it's almost summer here
Nice attention to detail man🤙🏼
Thanks
call the branch and let them know what is going on
That’s seems like one of the tougher jobs on this engine dang
Yup the other route is to drop the subframe and loosen or remove exhaust manifold. Pretty big job imho
@@tweaklife9847 before I started real doing work on this engine the shop replaced my starter bc the destroyed it. Trying to start car. So ya made them do that and I paid nothing.
