Thx for your comments and yes a bit daunting when relying so heavily on gps. Did have echo sounder and went along 20 m contour which kept me outside lobster pots but not in coastal tanker lane. Also ran close to cardinal mark and yellow outfall bouy to verify position before heading to harbour …could not have approached 10 yrs ago when gps did not offer accuracy. Also AIS helped ID potential shipping but trawlers don’t always switch on ! …I also used iPhone navionics as have had gps ‘stick’ before and you end up further ahead than shown …fog was supposed to lift but got thicker so good to have a backup plan like dropping anchor ..think I prefer a Gale where can see better !

Glad this wonderful video popped up, it was gripping stuff, I've never seen as many basking shark's. Were you sailing alone throughout the fog ? I've always wanted to observe a plotter in a pea souper like this simply to understand the importance of the situation. All I had a few years ago was a Garmin model 76 hand held and what a treat it was when thick fog arrived off Dunbar. There is no room for errors as it's surrounded by rocks, my waypoints were spot on. However, a stupid fishing boat was just outside harbour entrance going full speed with anglers on board, I kept listening for his engine getting closer until I moved to starboard just in time, he just missed us by 20ft. Hopefully you get to your destination safely. Grateful thanks again for your viewing.

Yes great 4500 miles to Spain and back no problems. Has good visibility down sides shallow ramp to easily load. Double aluminium skin and have riveted a few hooks inside ..also used it camping with bed and duvet cable for power and small fan heater ..either great. Double axle not a lot extra but gives stability smoother ride extra load and safety if tyre blows out ..use SAS hitch and wheel Locks which are good security …I use it multi purpose bikes or general cargo and no complaints or downsides to date …better option for me than camper van route and a lot less cost … I bought two BijeGrab wheel chocks and three plates. I can take two bikes side by side or use the center plate for the bigger bike alone …can easily take them all out and leave plates in …tricky to drill holes in floor as ribbed floor but with pilot hole and helper ok

This looks to work well. How did the first trip go? How are you liking the trailer now you’ve had it for 6 months. I am thinking of the Debon C500 for my GS 1200 too. We usually take 2 dogs with us when we go away in this country and my plan is for it to be their kennel once we arrive.

I installed a straight drop to the battery to plug in my battery tender. That same drop can be used to power things and, it can be used as an access point to check your battery with your voltage tester without having to take the bodywork off.

How'd the bouncy mountain roads suit the Wing. From the pulsing sound you made when breathing it seemed to me that it was quiet rough for you? Did you get bounced up off the seat at all during the fun spirited riding parts?

As a goldwing owner I really enjoyed this but as someone who used to live on the isle of Lewis and all over Scotland it really takes me back. I now live in the U.S and I miss the old country and the ability to really get along the road at a clip.

I enjoy riding with a group, but don't get chance much, an I've never that such a nice pace car as you have here! But here in NW Washington State we have too deal with rain an nasty biker weather, that we have too pick through. Enjoy the Wing, ride safe!

Regarding battery issue. 2021 DCT, 2 months old, bike would not crank after sitting overnight. Battery showing 12.8V but when cranking, dropped down to 10.2V, not enough to turn over engine. Solution: had battery replaced under warranty. No problems now for 3 months. Interestingly, the original Yuasa battery was not marked "Honda". The replacement battery was marked "Honda" I am guessing some bikes shipped with bad (defective) batteries or the batteries were sitting in some warehouse way too long. As an aside, the battery in my primary key FOB died after 4 months. Again, I am guessing original batteries were too old.

I just stumbled across your channel. You have a beautiful bike and lovely terrain to ride through. I am American but my wife is a Brit. We were fortunate to spend a few days in Scotland in 2018 on a trip to visit my wife’s family down in Bury St Edmonds in East Anglia. While there, my brother in law snagged tickets to the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo and we drove up. Everything about that jaunt up to Scotland was fabulous. I have rented Harley’s in the UK and Ireland in years past but I need to get back up to Scotland on a bike if we can ever get back there minus the imposed drama

TOUR mode is great all around mode. Haven't used RAIN mode yet. SPORT mode is downright scary. ABSOLUTELY not to be used in traffic.

Yep, don't take this beast on a long ride without the manual and the backup key / code. Also good idea to take a couple key fob batteries.
