I was tinkering with Legos, and started making a face, with a movable mouth. (I no longer have these Lego pieces, so I will not be able to create a "how to" tutorial sorry.)

This is so cool. I have been looking for people who have built stuff like this and have never found anything until now. I have been working on my robot a bit and it is not the best but this this deserves a like a comment a sub and a share. Good job this is really cool. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
a novel, retro approach to control linkages is the use of bellcranks. such a mechanism does make it possible to conceal servos and their arms.
2/25 information re -your recent short, about a weird control surface linkage. such a mechanism would be prone to jamming. there is no good substitute for a control horn. if there were, it would be in use. d

Make the middle gear for the eyes the controlling gear because you can see a little offset when the eyes turn, the right eye turns normally while the left eye is delayed.
We need tutorial with the Lego’s and one to build the whole thing😮
I recommend putting the eyelids on a separate pivot than the eyes. It’s a little extra work, but 100% worth it.

I do not own these eyes -- I built them when i worked at Axtell Expressions.
How do you make eyelids not create friction whith the eye or prevent it from moving as you can see on my channel my homemade animatronic has pupils onto the eyes and the eyelids create friction and dont allow the eye to move and if i move them to high up they cant close all the way
I've been making blinking eyes for about 30 years now -- there is a lot of precision -- which came from a lot of learning from previous failed mechanisms along the way. "If it was easy, everyone would be doing it."

The eyes are painted spheres with a high-gloss clear coat. The eyelids are painted shells: vacuum-formed 0.040" sheet HIPS (high-impact polystyrene). Lego collars were glued to the eyes and eyelids prior to painting to attach to Lego axle rods.

Amazing work! Where did you get your parts or did you machine them yourself? Could you make a parts list? Thanks in advance. Keep up the great work.
I used some off-the-shelf plastic doll eyes, some R/C car and airplane parts, some brass and aluminum rods and tubes and strips. (Sorry, I actually made that back in 2012, and don't have them any more.) I vacuum-formed the eyelids out of craft foam.
