Mighty!
Good Man Carl 👏👏👏👌👌👌 You nailed James’ gorgeous twists perfectly. They’re just as he played them on the Gradam TV clip with the late great Arty ❤️
Et Brigitte.... merci Carl pour ta belle musique.... bisous toi Gigi et toutes la famille.... merci pour votre cadeau....❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Both McGoverns and the Mullingar Races were famously recorded by the great Sligo fiddler Paddy Killoran in the 1920s
Great musical reenactment of how Paddy Killoran played these two classics Even Coleman himself may be given something to think about
Brilliant music quartet Lovely highland flings beautifully played and presented Hip hooray
Tom is such an exciting harmonica player. There is so much drive in his music that Frankie wanted to record with him once they played a few tunes together.Tom is a thorough gentleman and we had a fantastic time in Culdaff so much so that I wrote 3 tunes in memory of my visit to Culdaff which were played be the incredible Donegal fiddle player Liz Harper.Liz,like Tom,is an unbelievable musician and I have to definitely mention my great friend Dermot Byrne who is a friend of mine since the 1990’s and another exceptional musician. There are unbelievable musicians in Donegal and I love that county and its music. 3:06 .
Celine taught me Irish dancing many years ago...an amazing lady
Beautiful!
They were better than Riverdance, they were proper slip jigs steps, all the group does in Riverdance is batter and stump, dont get me wrong dance has changed and is good cant beat the old style of Irish dance just my opinion, regards Martin.
I remember Donncha in McTagarts school of dance in Cork, he was so advanced with the dance that he went to Dublin afterwards to work, lovely Video
I remember Donncha, when he was a pupil of McTagarts school of dance,in Cork great timing lovely set,and great music 🎶.
Very nice!
So beautifull...❤❤❤ Thanks a million for sharing
I love the concertina player's smile
Top class Carl 👏👏
Humdinger
Fantastic arrangement and renditions! Thanks for sharing this marvelous video❤
Greats! Now this is in me for a long time. Colleagues, excuse me, I think this is an Irish melody. Or Scottish?
Super!
it's just perfect,change nothing.thanks
Non seulement you're a great pianist but you have you're style in composition. Without Reading the description i was sure thé third reel was of you Carl. Always un plaisir to listen you're music!
The Joe Liddy reel is correctly called The Garavogue and John Joe Casey composed the fantastic The Fergus Reel.
John Joe Casey would be very proud to hear his Fergus Reel being included it your repertoire.
I think you are beautiful
Fantastic
At last I get to hear and see hear Eimear playing with Carl accompanying. Just lovely ❤.
You two are fantastic!
Carl is composing some great tunes, but credit to this lass also , she is awesome, lovely played and put across, bless u, ❤️🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Fantastic fluting, mighty tunes and piano driving Carl
Ye super once again Olivia, ❤️🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️👏👏👏👏
C'est vraiment bien joué ! Not a lot of pianiste play reels on piano. In the 40's or 50's there was a pianiste from Québec City who record somme reels on piano. I' ll try to find it and give you thé link. Thank you for you're nice music Mr. Hession.
Lovely tunes !
Great playing, all three artists. Lovely tunes too. Well done Carl.
Sweet music, reminds me so much of your dad Eileen who was my idol when I was growing up..
wonderful dancing, all pre-Riverdance!
Q🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👍
Ha ha you made prog rock in those past times! I was a big fan of Gentle Giant in the 70's. Then arrived trad music revival and we switched to Bothy band and La bottine souriante here in Quebec. 40 years later, never give up reels and jigs. A kind of drug addiction !
Mighty music love it ..
Great tunes, lovely playing!
Fabulous musicians
Great stuff! 👏👏👏
Lovely music as always. Huppp!!!
In Ryan’s Mammoth Collection (#343) it is called "Miller’s Reel". Is "The Dawn" an Irish interpretation.?
Deadly 🤩☘️
Exquisite playing. Very enjoyable as always. For info: Isn't the 'gan ainm' tune's ainm 'The Boys of the Town'?
