Awesome explanation !
I’m sure this is an informative video but I can no longer listen to you mispronounce the word “height”. Good day.
well this is the video i was looking for soo long. best video
Does low suspension change overall ride quality/comfort? (i have a bad back) Im about 5'8 123lbs and been on crusiers all my life and 98% pavement long distance rider/daily rider 6 days in a week pillion on/off, recently had a versys 650 and the longer travel makes all the difference My ideal bike right now would be a goldwing but i still want the option on riding on unpaved roads and our streets here has alot of potholes(i live in the Philippines) Rode the 1250 gs standard seat/sus and that was fine, sat on the gsa 1250 standard sus/seat (bike was off and thanks for the tip never turned it on) i cant lift the bike off the side stand as it was too tall Thinking about the gsa low sus and seat as i like the added front stability from the weight and the leg wind protection but woud the low seat and suspension sacrifice seat comfort and suspension comfort?
will it go down to 28 in..or any bmw.go on that far ?
Hı, i am writing you from İzmir turkey. Last yer is bought the same bike with the same configutation (low sus. Low seat). However is could not reach the seat height that you mentioned in your video. I have doubts with my low seat. I asked to the distributor with the item number on my low seat but not received an trustful answer. By the way bmw is not in turkey as factory they have a distributor . Could you please share the item number on your low seat with me. Greetings from izmir
What riding suit are you wearing? Seems to be doing very well in the rain and cold. Also, your googles seem to be hooked onto your helmet somehow? Never seen that. What kind of set up is that?
Excellent well researched video!
Two thumbs for the video... I have a question, though... All the seat height measurements are when the Dyn. ESA is in Auto mod, right?? How many cms does the min. setting approximately lower the bike compared to Auto??
This means that front suspension travel changed from 210 mm to 160 mm at lowered GSA?
Thank you very much, you covered everything very precise and clear!
Excelente información, gracias por realizarlo!!
Can anyone help me with identifying a low vs standard height GS?
Did you have issues getting to Alaska?
Dude looks 51 & 82 all at once. Kind of. I think.
Great demonstration, my friend
Very good video very informative data👍
Do you think BMW can upgrade my r1250 adventure to have the new ASA trans. Installed so I dont have to buy the africa twin dct?
What is the ground clearance on 1250 GS & 1250 GSA ?
Great explanation 👍 thanks for posting 👍😊
Thank you so much for this in-depth review of the suspension, I’m a shorter rider and found this invaluable.
Is it good for 5'8?
I thought the low suspension was only -20mm ?
Este es el video mas Completo qué he visto del tema de suspensiones bajas y asientos , muchas Gracias Saludos desde Colombia . Fantastic Video ,Thank you .
I just found your channel. Yes I subscribed and liked. I have a 22 Royal Enfield Himalayan I bought new last year. It's got 4500 miles on it and I use it to travel in my State of South Carolina. I am looking to travel to Maine and Texas to see family and I went to Cape Fear Motorrad BMW dealership. I am 5'9" and didn't know they made a low suspension bike until Donald ( salesman) showed me. Where I'm going, I need a 8 gallon tank since it's really remote areas . I love the advise and way you set your bike up. Donald is a big Mosko Moto user on his GS1250. Stay safe on the road
Does the factory-installed Low Suspension option affect the comfort level on asphalt roads?
From the seat to the pegs, is it the same length no matter a GS or a GSA? Or, do you get more leg room to the foot pegs on the GSA?
I'll buy a GSA and I'll go to as many states as possible. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Your videos are nice, but that Roswell UFO Museum was just ridiculous. I guess they're just giving the tourists what they want.
Hi Bro Good morning I need your quick advise bro I am planning to buy R1250 gsa 2019 with 26000 miles on it is it worth buying it?? It’s costing me around 16k with extended warranty for 3 years and unlimited miles And what’s Your opinion on this bike is it good enough to ride ?? I am trying to get this in Newyork. or should I consider buying used f750gs and limit the budget please share your opinion?
This is an outstanding video, especially for us average white guys............or average black guys, or average hispanic guys, or average asian guys.........you get it. Just us average guys on one of the most capable motorcycles on the market. Thanks for the very informative video.
I just test drove a GSA for 4 days im Colorado because I am looking for a new bike in this category and the GS is one of my options. After riding it fir 700mi and 4 days, I just can't get one. After 4500rpm, this GS is so buzzy in the handlebars that my hands and arms were going numb. The wife said the rear seat was buzzing bad along with the rear grab rails. Also, on the highway, it was windy and the bike was catching a lot of wind causing it to be wobbly and unsteady at 75mph. I love the GS trophy but after experiencing it, I just can't do it. What is your take on the issues I noticed about it? Would love to hear your opinion.
Your son is a trooper doing big mileage days!
Thanks for the comment - Yes that is for sure - Have a Phenomenal Day and make it the Greatest Day of Your Life!
Over the years, I bought 2 Arai XD4s since they fit me well. I keep the beak with the clear visor on one, and I removed the beak and put a tinted visor on the other one. Riding the one without the beak is so much better to be honest. He might be much happier by removing the beak and using his sun glasses.
Great Idea - I think that is what he is now planing on doing. Have a Fantastic Day!
glad to see you back
Thanks I appreciate the comment Have an Awesome Day!
I was hoping everything was going ok, you haven’t posted. For a bit and was wondering if something happened, glad to see your having a good time. Ride safe🙏
All good - Had no internet / cell service for sometime and needed to catch up on videos. Have a Phenomenal Day!
Do you know what the front and rear suspension travel is of the GSA Low Suspension?
Great video. I have a 1250GS std suspension. I'm interested in a GSA Low Suspension. Is there any difference in ride quality or handling with the GSA Low Suspension over the 1250GS std suspension? I never go off road.
Ps...I only ride on the road
Great video! I ride a std suspension gs and looking at a 2024 gsa low suspension. How does the gsa low suspension compare in ride quality to a standard gs? I only ride on the road...
Nice Review, I'm looking at a 2024 GSA. I'm 5'9" with a 32" inseam. Can you tell me how tall you are and what is your inseam measurement?
Amazing content! The thumbnail could use some work , though. I'm a pro graphic designer with 2+ years of experience , so I made a new thumbnail to show you what I can offer ❤
Welcome to Canada, taco bell is always empty in big cities, tim Hortons is the deal in here, try French vanilla coffee and pouting, safe travels.
Which Kim Jacket do you use? Great videos!
Pretty cool to see a father son duo trip on two wheels, I would have killed for such a thing as a teenager. How are y'all liking the 1300 in comparison to the 1250?
Thanks for the comment really appreciate it. As a teenager this is the longest by far he has rode on any single day 400 to 500 plus miles... the wind and rain we have encountered has been brutal and Colten is doing remarkable first time in all these conditions as well as cold 40 F to 70 F. I have only rode the 1300 20 miles so I really can't compare. I do like the look of the 1300 better but I think the windscreen needs to be bigger / higher - I do know the 1300 is faster and can do wheelies very easy!... Have a Phenomenal Day!
@@EpicTime2Go Great feedback and kudos to your boy for hanging in there even when the conditions aren't ideal. He will remember this trip for years to come. I still prefer the looks of my 1250 GSA but there are things about the new 1300 that are appealing. I likely won't make the change anytime soon, but it's good to get real world feedback. Best wishes and safe travels on the trip ahead, I'll be following along.
Leaving your bikes at the pump. Not a kind thing to do.
Empty station. Get a life.
I could tell you are that kind of person.
I live right by your first gas stop in grayling and enjoy riding my 23 R1250GS around the back roads and dirt roads of the area! Good luck on the trip!!
You live in an awesome area to have a GS. So much to see and do. Have a Phenomenal Day!
what a great adventure. Lifetime memories for sure. I always remember the times riding with dad were special. Thanks for sharing been watching all your motorcycle journey videos 😁
Thank. you I really appreciated this comment. It gives Colten inspiration as the weather has been brutal especially the WIND.... Make today the Greatest Day of Your Life!
Love the father and son relationship. Colton reminds me of my nephew whom I used to travel to many places like Iceland, France, Italy... Now he is 18 and has no time for me :) Except, his driving practices with the new car his dad got for him. How is the new GS running so far? Do you get 200 plus miles per tank? Cheers and be safe.
We really appreciated this comment, means a lot as we are traveling... He loves the GS1300 except for the windscreen needs to be bigger / higher also if you are doing 75 MPH / 120 KM into the wind you're not getting around 165 miles or less on a tank.. Have an Awesome Day!
Hello, sat on the fence Here with regards ro low suspension, having it low, is the ride comfort sacrificed much between a normal or low ?? No Information I can find anywhere
Riding comfort is the exact same... Have rode the GSA standard and low and the GS low and can't tell the difference only when you stop and your feet are on the ground. I have a 32 inch inseam and only like the low. Also the 1300 is great as well. Have a phenomenal day!
