I see in a Sunday evening service at FBC Jackson, That Dr. Pollard was preaching by going casual in wearing a suit without tie, including the choir behind him!

I was there for this sermon. This is when we rebuilt the sanctuary and were meeting in fellowship hall!

Thank you for these timeless sermons. It takes me back to the simpler days when we were at that church.

I was raised in this church! I miss it to this day. My grandparents raised my dad here and I’m so thankful we were. I know we were there that day. We never missed

I remember being in attendance for this- absolutely amazing

I attended FBC Jackson sporadically when I was in law school - I say sporadically because I attended when I hadn’t been out late at George St Grocery or the Dock with my friends. Dr Pollard was a gifted and anointed preacher of the Word, and I wish I had attended and, more importantly, listened more then. I had to lose all that was important to me before I repented, but praise God for his mercy.

How did he recite all of that from Dr Seuss so effortlessly? Pretty amazing, but an even more powerful message!

Never heard of Frank Pollard until I stumble upon him tonight. He must have been a very usual man. Twice called to returned to First Baptist, later President of Seminary. I listened and determined he has a sense of godliness about him. Interesting!

Thank you for posting this sermon. I heard it on The Baptist Hour some weeks after Dr. Pollard preached it. What a powerful sermon. It took much courage to preach it. Thank God His servant, St. Frank, had that courage.
