I have a few questions I have was affected with covid at work I was out for a while then went back for a couple days and caught it again at work and then was out for a little bit came back I was there for a few days then I had a heart attack at work a covid related heart attack I was out of work that whole time that I had to be off I went back the bosses and everybody's treating like the bosses were treating me different then they fired me well quote unquote laid me off and I was not able or allowed to apply for disability during this time and I believe that was so that way they could fire me as soon as I got back and then I just found out today come to find out that the boss wanted me to be fired a month or so ago and I had only been back to work for maybe a month what legal help can I get
Recently, EDD Classified me as an employee of Uber/Doordash for the claim I had filed in 2020. I received a call from an EDD Tax auditor asking me a bunch of questions about my Uber/Doordash work. Next week, they sent me an Amended award where my 2019 1099 income was evenly divided in four quarters. How do I appeal this decision? I had a very little income in 2019. Now my claim is showing a negative amount.

I did this 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything from them. I tried again today and let's pray for a miracle here. I don't wanna call, I'm just gonna get frustrated with not being able to talk to anyone. And if I do get a hold of anyone , I'm afraid they're just gonna tell me to do this

Can't get through. I sent 3 emails via UI Online (same as video) and haven't heard back after way more than the 5-7 days they state you will be hearing from them. It's so frustrating (and I am so mad at myself).

@@jsasa5668 It is not easy to get a resonse from emails and call because of too much work in EDD. So I think that another way is writing a letter that explain details including perids, wages, social securites, EDD customer account number, address, cellphone number etc....... it is better to send the letter as a certified mail.
I don't even have that UI onlike home, edd gave me the rong ssn & they haven't mailed me a edd acc number so i cant even edit or cancel my claim
I worked for uber and lyft at the same time, should I put my combined uber and lyft gross earned in the templet, or do they need to be separate?

Hi there. Do we submit our 1099 wages through this method if we have NOT been misclassified? So that our 1099 wages are in the system for purposes of getting paid under PUA? Will a 0 dollar eligibility invalid claim from unE invalidated us under PUA and not trigger us out of (or not trigger us for) the PUA 600/week + 39 weeks of benefits?
No. The state has said that workers who are eligible for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance will be able to apply for that program on April 28.

@@nillawatkins True independent contractors who have no recent history of work as an employee are not eligible for Unemployment Insurance, and should wait for the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance process to open up later in April 2020. Getting denied for Unemployment Insurance will not make you ineligible for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance.

So it sounds like even though I have provided unE edd with all my 1099 wages and tax information...I will have to do the whole process again in late April through PUA - and the information from unE edd will not roll over into the PUA system?

First you need to register for UIOnline. After registering, you need to log in and click "UI Online" for those options to appear.
@@legalaidatwork - I did that but those prompts are not their as shown in your illustrations.. I do not see those prompt.

They mention co-ed teams are permitted, but that you should consider whether girls feel welcome and included....
