In the beginning In Bhiwandi, there were no schools for Telugu children to study in their mother tongue, and the increasing number of illiterates hampered the educational development of the Telugu Samaj.
In 1968 we founded the Telugu Samaj Shikshan Sanstha and built a small hut in the Kaneri area and started a Telugu primary school. The teachers’ remuneration was given from our own pockets. Crossing 50 years hurdles of milestones the buildings were constructed in Kaneri and Kombadpada and two Telugu school were started.
I am glad that all the members invigorated me to frame and raise the infrastructure of our five umbrella schools. i.e. 1) Padmashali Telugu High School 2) Padmashali English Medium School & Jr. College (Arts, Science and Commerce) 3) Vikas English Medium School 4) Bhavanarushi Telugu Madhyamik Vidyalaya 5) Markandeya Primary School.
