Looks like a quest mode+.. i'll jump in when they introduce worlds/blocks. Quest mode blocks is basically the only way i play that game.

I'm still curious how deck-building works. I realize the pre-cons are ready to play out of the box... but the bundle I purchased came with a Kickstarter promo pack. So how can I add those to the main pool? Are there rules for that?

so about opening doors the book says the "Each failed attempt increases successive Athletics checks by 20". does this mean it gets easier each time you, try. and also that you didn't do that here?

I know this is an older video, but I'm just now watching it a year later. I'm really enjoying how you're playing Apothecaria, combining it with Procedures to help create the world. I think I'm going to incorporate that myself. I also have Table Fables and plan on using it similarly for character and patient development, once i start playing Apothecaria. At one point you were talking about Mythic, and I think the newer Mythic One Page could be a really simple oracle addition to help with some of those yes/no type questions. It's much simpler than the full on Mythic GME 2e. Literally one page. I keep it with my Table Fables books.

I saw this in your initial Apothecaria video. This looks like exactly what I've been looking for in a world builder, simple, charts to roll on. It looks perfect! Thanks so much for sharing!

This was so helpful! I've avoided looking into journaling solo games because I simply don't want to do a lot of writing. This really helped me see how I could enjoy playing some solo journaling games without a lot of overwhelming journaling, just working with the mechanics. I'm looking into getting Apothecaria now, with this new perspective. I also really enjoyed seeing how you added to the game using Table Fables. I have those books as well. I think I'll enjoy adding to the Apothecaria experience using Table Fables also.

While I like full-on journaling games too, this sort where you just get occasional prompts intermixed with more traditional game mechanics works really well for me too.

This was way too much for me. On turn 2 Sabertooth had summoned Nimrod, and 4 side schemes against me. I was using Colossus and Wolverine for the rivalry feel. It was horrible.

I tried to like this game. I played the beta version and hated it. The math was ridiculously bloated. After the final version of the game was published I picked up a copy and gave it a try. The devs had addressed some of the beta-testers’ complaints but not all of them. And the math is still WAY too bloated (even if not as bloated as during the beta). There are just too many other awesome sups games out there like M&M, Prowlers & Paragons, and the Cypher System (just to name a few) for this game to make any headway in its current form. The bloated math just drives me crazy.

At 9:18 you draw a "King Of The Hill" card. Does that card mean you can send a peasant to a spot with another peaant to collect resources? Attack value is never impacted by the number of damage tokens, correct? Can you attack a castle with just a soldier or are units required? The Wall Defender accepts all damage, nothing can overflow. It is like a one time prevent regardless of the total attack number, is that correct? Can a peasant take the catapult space just to block? Do they have to execute the action?

Hey, i got a question for you since you seem to understand the game more than me. Can you cast spells out of combat? Like the raise skeleton from the gravedigger line? Thanks in advance.

I found the cyphers fiddly but fine, but couldn't get the video to play for one of them so had to start again. Then... SPOILERS FOR END GAME... the fact I needed these words again to access the end video, I thought fuck it I'm not doing the cypher again! Thanks for the video.

if you roll under your attack skill and the enemy defends and rolls below their defensive skill + defense roll of enmy > your attack roll = enemy rolls from defensive table always to sum it all up: you only score a hit if: you score a critical hit (enemy has to do critical defsensive reaction to prevent the hit) you roll under attack skill; enemies rolls under their defense skill + enemy roll < your roll you roll under attack skill and anemy rolls over defensive skill

Good series. There are many things about this game that makes me want to check it out. I like being able to play as a merchant and not many games have that option.

If you're going to have facecam on, please move it so it isn't directly in front of your hand. It's hard to see and understand what you're doing. Forge looks pretty interesting though. I'm updating Java to try it out myself.

hi friend...excellent video...i would like to point out, that on timestamp 21:05 when you used your renew effect from the Automa token, you could have used it to renew the terrain tiles as well (page 13 of rulebook)
