I saw them on this tour. One of the best concerts I've seen.

The best drum work ever! BLOWS away "In the Air Tonight"!! Quadrophenia was my "place" when I was a teen- I lost my parents at a young age, and then my grandmother who raised us(my brother and I) - I was 13. So much of Quadrophenia resonated with me at that time and I am still so grateful for it.

Billy Idol is loving this! Pity they could not get Sting (again, see the movie), but Billy Idol as "The Ace Face" is impressive.

Saw the show in MLPS, during The Rock, Simon broke a string early and proceeded to retune another string while playing to be able to finish the solo near the end. Amazing, even Pete looked on with an impressed look.

I've been listening to Quadrophenia a lot lately and I gotta say, this is easily the best version of The Rock. So much energy. The drumming is fantastic and Townshend's tone is unbelievable. Reminds me of the early days of Yes when Steve Howe's ES-335 had an overpowering presence in the mix for live shows.

Absolutely great version of the the rock live.. would have preferred seeing footage of the band performing it it❤ rather than the video back drop.. sorry my only complaint. And because its The Who I reserve the right to do so

The best Who album

Ginger Baker might be even better than Moon. Bonham wasn't too bad either. I like Carmen Appice as well. There are a lot of great Drummers as good or better than Moon, that I've seen play in local venues on Sydney's Northern Beaches. There are some Drummers in Australia that are so good that they played in 2 or 3 different Bands in the same week or the same night. Paul Larsen comes to mind. "Radio Birdman" "Celibate Rifles" "The New Christs" "The Aint's" "Screaming Tribesmen" "Funhouse" There were some gigs I played so well, that it felt like an 'out of body' experience behind my Ludwig Kit. When he's not under 'house arrest' Phil Rudd from AC/DC 'fame' is a human metronome, he is one of the most pleasurable Drummers to watch and hear. For proof, listen to the album "Back in Black" Rob Hirst's Drumming on Midnight Oils' "Power and the Passion" in 1982 is something Keith Moon would struggle with. Ringo Starr made The Beatles what they were. John Coghlan is probably the best 'swing shuffle' Drummer to ever play a Kit. Coghlan is an absolute metronome. That is verging on PUNK ROCK!!!! There is 'no fan' like a QUO fan. The best and greatest Band in history. When Coghlan left STATUS QUO after 20 years in 1982, their whole sound changed completely. All of the Ramones Drummers were awesome, fast, timekeepers. Keith Moon couldn't do what they did. Some trivia for you is that both Ringo and Coghlan were Left-Handed with everything else in life except for when they played their Drum Kits. On an historical aspect, ever since Cavemen started banging their Rocks and logs of wood with whatever they could lay their hands on, Drummers have been the most important person in music groups.

This is a very sad reflection of the original. I am disappearing into the luckily unidentifiable bliss.... Bye bye

I went to see this tour in Philly in 96 then Camden in 97. Best concerts I've ever attended.

Now 38, Reflecting on my life and my teenage and years of my youth gone by, on a random night of insomnia just staring at the ceiling, at 3.20am in Mumbai, India, all the while listening to this beautiful instrumental song, which happens to be from one of my favorite coming of age shows i’ve watched as a kid / teen - The Wonder Years - can’t help but think how these tunes sorta resonate with my life’s happenings - both ups and downs and so much more. The Wonders Years background tracks were true treasure troves with each song for a different mood, always ready to hit you right in the feels! Lovely! Keep em coming my friend!

I was at MSG seeing this. Billy Idol as the Bell Boy was brilliant casting.

I was at one of the MSG shows for this with Gary Glitter, Billy Idol, and Phil Daniels. This was an unbelievable show.
