[TAS] How Your Parents Got to School (The Hike in 2:34.717)

This is a Tool Assisted Speedrun of Redical's standalone Celeste map "The Hike," a grandmaster level map heavily inspired by Mauve. The first few rooms of the TAS were drafted by dubi steinkek, and when I saw the wide open rooms designed for ultra chains, I knew I needed to finish it. TASing this map was a fun challenge that forced me to use all the tech I knew-as well as learning some new things! I'm really happy with the final result and I hope you enjoy it!

This is a Tool Assisted Speedrun of Monika's Reflection D-Side, enjoy! Recent map updates desynced the previous 8:09.991 TAS, so I spent some time fixing inputs in the broken rooms, and improving strats/optimization as I went. aqmlyn (molly) also spent a lot of time optimizing and found the core trigger skip, which ended up saving ~20 seconds on top of all the other strats and improvements. 904...

I started TASing this map because of the first 5 rooms and then got jump scared by 30 seconds of flag 1-esque climbing which was hell on earth to tas but HERE WE ARE. Farewell's Dash Trigger Skip allows much of the level to be played with two dashes; this TAS shows gameplay where Madeline keeps two dashes for the entire level. Enjoy! i stream sometimes, you can catch me live at www.twitch.tv/lmjacks this run is long overdue, but i'm still glad to finally get a decent pb in this category. it was very nice to not mess around with 58 or 57-previous pb was a 59:45. most notable timeloss was 30sec to forgetting 1.5k gem lmao. general lategame nerves/deaths after that point as well, since this run was done on fairly little practice
