I agree with most of what you say, but you can’t deny the prophecies of Ezekiel 36-39. Ellen White had great insight, however she lived in a time wham the world events were not the same as today. She knew what the feast of the Lord were and had insight into what their significance to the Messiah were. The problem I think many Adventist have is they stopped with her. If she were to have lived further into the 20th century she would have moved further. She taught about the religious Jews building a religious system that rejected the Messiah. I think if he showed up before in the same way he did when he came the first time most Church people would not recognize him.

There is no Biblical evidence for the Enemy of souls to go to Jerusalem. The Prophecy says that JESUS will go to Jerusalem, and that He will reign there during the final events of the Judgment. Isa 31 explains that the False Prophet will be cast out from the City and will return to his stronghold. That stronghold is in the USA as the 2nd Beast of Rev 13 is USA. The restoration of Jerusalem and Israel in the end times is a clear teaching of the Prophets. Only Haggai and Jonah does not speak of it. There will be a wall of fire surrounding Jerusalem, so they will not be able to go there. They will try in the battle of Armageddon and in fact, all will be gathered against Jerusalem in those days. I encourage you to read and study the Prophets, and read the book Spirit of Prophecy Vol 4, the final chapters that deal with what will happen. If Psalm 83 is simply a general prayer for the Lord to someday deal with the hostile enemies that surround the nation of Israel, why is there so much tremendous detail about 10 specific hostile enemies that form into an Arab confederacy? Why did Asaph feel it was so important to add to his general prayer this small detail that " Assria has joined them too and is allied with the descendants of lot"? After reading Psalm 83: 1-18 does it just sound like Asaph is just praying a prayer of imprecation and he's basically saying Lord I hope you take these countries out one day? Why didn't Asaph say in Psalm 83:6-8 like he said in Psalm 79" ? Pour out your wrath on the nations that refuse to acknowledge you- on kingdoms that do not call upon your name." Did you know that John Peter Lange a well respected theologian who is the author of The Lang Commentary on the Holy Scriptures which was published in 1877 believed that Psalm 83 is a future war prophecy not a general lament prayer because of the detail added in Psalm 83:8? Do you think Lange was looking at news stories in Israel and the Middle East in the 1800's to come up with his interpretation?
