I mean what to say where can I even begin? Karen in her prime was so untouchable! And that He's Able B5 is one of my favs and the one after that, that ease! Omgg I'm so glad their doing another reunion tour with Yolanda and Fred this time! I need it very much, Karen was well rested and going off during that tour!! I think that was some of her best vocals in a while, in my opinion! And omgg those crazy fast runs??!! That glide up to the B5 reminded me of Over the rainbow Patti LaBelle! Her squall range is crazy!! The last clip, the recent one with Kierra it's like she's in her third prime😂😂😂 like she sounds so healthy and rested!! Like how many singers you know signing that high with that much clarity and ease at her age? While many singers lose their voice before they turn 30. But then I had to start belting and then I watched a video on mixed voice tryna say “nah nyah” in like a twingy/nasal placement and I started slowly to sing like that and one day I tried to see if my high notes were there or coming back because I didn’t know I my voice was maturing at the time but I tried and I hit a F5 in mixed voice and it only went uphill since then and now I can support up to a G#5 with ease until a Bb5! So ik you’ll get there! I hope my story and Randall’s video inspire u to keep practicing.

    Omgg this is so good and inspiring! I loved this! And your F#5 when they were chesty they weren’t even that bad to me, tone wise but I’m glad ur doing what sounds best and ur thinking about your vocal health and perseverance! And even the lighter mix was great because it got lighter but gained even more power! You’ve been taking care of your voice for sure I can tell! I was never like a chesty belter because that wasn’t my style but I tried it one time and was so raspy I probably almost lost my voice if I kept doing that so I remained to my heady mix.

    • @randall4528
      @randall4528 2 месяца назад

      Oh, my gosh!🥹🥹🥹 Thank you so so very much!!!!🥹🥹🥹 Honestly, if I kept being more chesty in my mix, then the access to my upper belts would not have been easy for me! If I didn't add twang to make my mix lighter, then I would still lack ease above E5! Thank God I made the right decision to lighten my mix for some ease in my upper belts! If you don't know my background in singing or music in general, I grew up in church and gospel music, so the old school gospel singers were taking their chesty mix up to the rafters! But as I listened to the modern gospel singers, they don't take their chesty mix up to the rafters! They actually start to lighten their mix and add twang to go higher, easier! Some examples would be Kim Burrell now, Jekalyn Carr, Kelonate Gavin, Karen Clark Sheard, especially now, Kyla Jade, and so many more! Honestly, I didn't like how my F#5s sounded in the 10th grade when I was very chesty in my mix, but now I like the sound of my F#5s now because I learned how to lighten my mix to go high easier! So, thank you so much for the support!🥹🥹🥹 And I'm glad that it inspired you!😊😊😊

      @@randall4528 Omggg ofccc!! And I definitely understand where ur coming from! And I know EXACLTY what u mean when u say u started in the Church and Gospel same here I was used to singers myself always using that heavy vibrato, high shouting with the raspy high voices, and squalls and growls I know what it’s like. I wanted to sing like and every time I would sing a song like that I would try and darken my voice and try belting it instead of like actually mixing it and it would always make my voice raspy and not comfortable so I had to stop and I just sing it my way now! To preserve my voice while also enjoying the music I get to sing. Yes and Karen in her prime, she was a belter she rarely mixed so it was kinda hard to like sing her songs like her without damaging ur voice. So I had to sing it in mixed voice and sometiems it was a little disappointing because I couldn’t sing it like her but I’m happy I’m not damaging my voice because it gives me more ease to sing the high notes! In plus Karen is a mixer now and that’s they key to why her voice is so strong healthy and preserved. And so is Patti LaBelle those two ladies are singers who are very similar technically.

      @@randall4528 Well, yes! Here I am, I feel like I’m everywhere that involves music. I guess it’s just my comfort. Anyways ofc!! You are doing an amazing job and your voice is stunning. I personally love it please keep up the amazing work and never let anyone tell you, you’re bad, you can’t sing, blah blah blah. All they do is lie on the internet because they think they’re funny. But you really have a talent and please don’t quit using it. Much love from the Whitney community💕.

    3:40 how you do this one??? Also, only advice I have to give is maybe try to do it all standing still. I find when I move around too much is when I engage body parts that are counterproductive to singing like the trapezius.

      @randall4528 5 месяцев назад

      @jymmirachael4316 When I was in 10th grade, my mix was very chesty! I sounded fine until E5! Anything above E5, I was straining and too much tension in my vocal folds! I have some free E5s and G5s in the 10th grade era, though! In the summer 2022 era, I learned how to lighten my mix, and it led to great results! I had a free F#5 mix when I did the Show me how to Burlesque run by Christina Aguilera (Xtina)! In the 11th grade era, my mix was very great! At the end of the 11th grade era, I did 2 mixed C#6s, and both of them were free! My ease improved in my upper belts in the 11th grade era! Now, the ease is still there! My vocal agility has improved since the 11th grade era! The notes from G#5 to Bb5 are more metallic and resonant!

    You should work on your support (breath support ). Also work on your chest voice (pure chest voice ) in order to have a well-balanced mix voice. Your upper register , is surprising for a guy but it lacks support and power. It’s too white. That’s implying a lack of support. Also , it is good to place your voice on the mask but singing on the mask is different from singing on the nose. Try to open your mouth and place your voice up to your soft palate.

    • @randall4528
      @randall4528 5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the advice, but you saw that my mouth was wide open, and my jaw was dropped for these upper belts, and to say that is too white is a little insulting!

      @@randall4528 Sorry I didn’t wanted to be rude. Maybe my words were a little harsh. I’m sorry about that. As a singer myself I do find that you’ve good potential but having a healthy technique is also important for preventing vocal injury and preserving your voice throughout the years. Sorry ,

      @@randall4528 I saw that your voice was open , but the placement wasn’t really focused on your soft palate. That’s what I was trying to say. Sorry if you find it insulting. That wasn’t my intention.

      @vianneyphilippe8962 No, it's ok! I appreciate the advice, man! Honestly, I had an unhealthy technique when I was 10th grade, and it led me to lose my voice! I had to learn how lightening my mix to be able to mix up to C#6! So, my technique is healthy now!

    • @randall4528
      @randall4528 5 месяцев назад

      @vianneyphilippe8962 I see what you're saying! but if I place it in the soft palette (in the back of my vocal tract), I'm gonna strain in my upper belts again! That's the exact placement I used when I was in 10th grade!
