I’m selling out… This is probably not the best video out there as I used this as a testing ground for messing around with semitones and all that, So don’t take this as wholly accurate . If there are any mistakes of missing info let me know :-) Big thanks to the nerds of Caretaker discord/wiki for finding all these samples and other information as well as the bigger nerds that made the Caretaker...

Due to Ted Fio Rito and his vocalists being under contract with another label Transco had them use pseudonyms for the broadcasts. It’s A Great Life (1929) I’m Following You Scenes Lawrence Gray & The Duncan Sisters
The album doesn't outright say what interview is what (which is annoying) but it lists off ones used in the references corner. Austin, Clyde. Phone Interview, 2 April 1985. Harrell, Lynn. Phone Interviews, 22 Aug 1977, 27 Jan, 10 & 24 Feb, 31 March 1985. Hatch, Earl. Phone Interview, 28 April 1985. O'Shaughnessy, Gib. Personal Interview, 22 Aug 1977. O'Shaughnessy, Gib. Phone Interviews, 4 Feb, 12 March, 30 April 1985. I am not really good at telling the differences in voices so if anyone could help it would be appreciated. All I know is that 01:04:09 is one of Lynn Harrell's interviews & 01:10:40 is one of Gib O'Shaughnessy's interviews.

Do you like the book or the movie more?
@@jeebusthegreat8819 I am one of the few people that likes both of them. I would say the film as I have more memories attached to it but it wins by a narrow margin. I love the movies sets, music, acting & symbolism. I love the books characterization of Jack as a more complex and sometimes sympathetic character, Also the book has more on the background and lore of the hotel than the movie because you can’t fit all than into a movie. And then there is the mini series, It exists.
Happy Halloween people 🎃. I will be rewatching The Shining again, What will you be doing?

Was A1 from "The ambassador of song" at last? Or is It still pulled from the YT upload
A while back it was reevaluated and deemed to be from The Ambassador of Song and not RUclips.
@@Mr.A_69420 Just like with Paul Whiteman's LP in WAGROAR I knew I was right, The ambassador of song was mentioned since The haunted ballroom

Can you tell me if this version can be found anywhere on Spotify? I can’t find it.
@@Peekay9 If you are talking about The Caretaker version then there is no official upload on Spotify as the creator does not like the platform and its practices. Even though the Everywhere At The End of Time albums as well as An Empty Bliss Beyond This World, Patience After Sebald & Everywhere An Empty Bliss are on Spotify officially it was done begrudgingly due too mass amounts of unofficial uploads making money off of those works. The Caretaker currently has zero plans on adding more of his works officially on Spotify. Really the next best thing is ether the official upload on Bandcamp or the original sample by The Six Swingers which is available on Spotify.
@@Mr.A_69420 - Thank you for this explanation. I’ve been listening to his other music on Spotify, but thought it odd that Stardust was missing. Much appreciated.

OMG OLSEN VOICE REVEAL
I have been listening to this for a bit and I believe this is made up of about three radio broadcasts. In the first one I can make out the words "This never ending war seems to be (unintelligible), will there be peace?" "That is not (unintelligible) at the moment" & "I'll be back". In the second one I can make out "Invest in our country today (unintelligible)" In the third one I can make out "(unintelligible) We're superior (unintelligible)" There could maybe be a fourth one but I am not 100% sure.
Hmm, audio isn't fine tuned as nicely but I could honestly see it as some Government broadcast.
Yeah I was hoping for something a bit better but this was the best I could manage with the program I used. I do think it could be some government broadcast or maybe some old news broadcast from the 40s/50s.
@@Mr.A_69420 Fair enough as the Fallout series capitalized the aesthetic and culture of Eisenhower America in the 50s and early Cold War culture.

Banger video unlike the other outdated videos of wagroar speed up of a certain individual /j
Mistakes that I have noticed (this is a growing list cause I am really fucking stupid) I put “Leyland James Kirby” instead of “James Leyland Kirby” Hoping for some kind of recognition’s fun fact says Under a warm golden light instead of the track title. The track title is still also from “And The Bands Played On” Under a warm golden light’s tempo seems to still be too slow Wrong sources for first two tracks, Should be "Al Bowlly Ray Noble Dance Band Years". I have realized I was wrong lol Possibly wrong source for I'll See You In My Dreams, It may be "I'm A Bear In A Lady's Boudoir".
roll up the carpet and dance is sped up wrong
under a warm golden light is still too slow (tempo).... great vid!
Thanks, I’ll put a little notice or something about Under a warm golden light
