The small, tall flowers shown here are called Gaura. They are especially great in a flower box cause they sway in the faintest breeze.

SO inspiring! We now have 105-114-degree summers here in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. So much hotter than it used to be. My cannas even struggle. THANK YOU for showing it is possible to still grow flowers using a rainwater cache system. I would love to see how your garden evolved to this day & see more ideas. I certainly need more inspiration from you, gardening in these conditions. Thank you!
Your secret garden would be my dream come true! All the beautiful colors and textures! One day my garden may mimic yours! Thank you for showing it to us.
Beautiful ❤
Hi Maury, what is that Opuntia in your garden that has the smallish purple fruit (3:57)? I have it growing in my garden but have never been able to identify its species. Thanks for your help!
Absolutely fabulous!
Maury your secret garden shows all the love and care you have poured into it. It must be a delight to sit, watch and listen to all the wildlife and relaxing running water. Thank you for sharing its beauty with us. ❤🌵
I loved the tour of your garden. Its absolutely beautiful and your knowledge and love for the desert shows! ❤ 🌵
I think there was a name change on the totem pole cactus, not sure what season it is there but when they are very happy they are much plumper, I leave mine completely dry over the winter, had a collection of some 40-year-old ones that were grown in a greenhouse in southern Utah and were beautiful specimens, sometimes plants reach their limit of age I think that's the last of five of them died off this year but I did save some cuttings which are super easy to propagate. Am I correct in thinking that sahuaro's are the only cactus that cannot be propagated from cuttings? In Minnesota where I am I will lay the opuntia on their side to get more pads when propagating Congratulations on living in a lovely climate
Love it
Lovely gaura, I have a white one. Thinking of getting a pink one this year. Bloom until late in the season too, what not to like.
Love the rain barrel and the beautiful garden
All those little creatures have sought refuge from the desert in your amazing garden.
Your garden is beautiful. The best desert view from that window. I have a few species of opuntias and some euphorbias in pots. One of my favourites is a small pad Opuntia Rufida, it has bright orange glochids.
Wow, was für ein Garten! Da muss aber auch wahnsinnig oft gegossen werden, oder?
You really have talent to create a beautiful garden, subscribed !
Very nice!
Beautiful!
Just Stupendous

Garden expect spectacular thank you so much for sharing
Lovely
So lucky, how you get to have collared lizards and kingsnakes! I want to add both to my home collection at some point. But it looks like you don’t even need an indoor setup or terrarium…just go outside!
I'm impressed with your knowledge and pronunciation of all these plants : )
YES..what Becky said! Do you do tours or hands-on teaching? I am very new to Tucson and have a blank yard area and not sure where to start? Any suggestions?
Thanks, Grace! I'm certainly not an expert at gardening in Tucson. I've only been doing this for a few years. You might want to check the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension. They have a program called "Master Gardeners."
You are a gardener's treasure, Maury!! How far down did you dig to replace the kalichi?
It is so sweet! It is a reflection of the person who created it! :)
Amazing! This is so inspiring to me 😊
Very attractive garden....❤❤
Are those verbena bonareinses in your garden?

“So they attack Mickey Mouse” 😆🤣❤️
Amazing garden and your roof rain water system is awesome! How can I get one? Would be very useful here in Phoenix too!
Oasis water system in Sierra Vista is where I got the rainwater system
Beautiful!
Lovely garden - very inspiring! Thanks for sharing it.
So sweet ♥️ love this city. You’re awesome.
Beautiful! Thank you!
Great Ocotillo fence. I love the Mexican Poppy. There are few places more interesting and dynamic than the Old Pueblo and the Baja Region of AZ. I would recommend a visit to Tucson's Mission Garden by A Mountain. Well done.
this is why my allergies are so bad in the freaking desert...
