I use a 150cm (60 inch) sump under the tank with plumbing from and to the tank. It includes and overflow to the sewer and I have fresh tap water dripping in under the hood.

So it's about 300L, filled with sponges and siphorax. And one pump chamber.

@@royorth to be fair with 180cm your on the edge between 2 potfilters or a sump. A sump is low maintenance and you can put all the equipment like pump and heaters in it. Cost wise it should be about the same depending on where you live. I do recommend and overflow with plumbing and a sump after having to deal with pot filters for many years.

Unfortunately I have no space for a sump. So probably it will 2 potfilters, thinking about fluval fx6 …

I'd say maybe a group of 5 but no guarantees it works out when they full grown (takes years). Just make sure you dont add any other bottom dwellers.

Thanks a lot , very beautiful your other big tank! I’ve Made the decision to go for a 5.9 (70.86 ft) aquarium! Unfortunately I have no more space for a bigger aquarium 🤷🏻‍♂️ Hope that will do for a group of 8 🐠…..

I'm feeding them a good quality pellet in 2 sizes. A bigger one to fill them a bit instantly and a smaller one that they can sieve from the sand. I have a variety of Bassleer pellets.
