Good idea, once the weather agrees!

I just purchased a new Nikon Z8 and was testing its eye tracking capability. Works super well - Used with Nikon F mount (used adapter to fit Z8 camera) 70-200 F2.8 lens with 2X adapter added . Quite happy so far with the results. Actually wish to buy the 180-600 mm new lens that Nikon has produced.

When I arrived, I noticed that it looked exactly like one of the photos you posted...but then I thought that nope, can't be....

Montpelier is a quiet town, but has many open businesses, a nice Grocery Market, many pizza shops, McDonalds, ice cream store, many factories and churches, a nearly new K-12 school, a nice park, and many newer housing developments with homes that can be purchased without breaking the bank. When I fly the drone, it is usually in the later evening when winds are calm and the light makes for a better video experience. This is why the downtown looked so quiet. I have lived here all my life and call it home.

@@dennishaldiman6087 It does look lovely and very safe. We have been looking at houses on Zillow and we don't see many homes available for sale. Is there any area in the town you would recommend for a family with kids that we should focus on?

@@medicalcareer5463 - I have not been keeping up with homes that are for sale. Seems to be a tight market everywhere. I would google agents in this area and go from there.

I went into the menu and set the controls for very soft control effects. Makes a huge difference.

Thanks! I have both the Osmo Pocket and the Pocket 2. Both are great little cameras, especially when using the WiFi for controlling them while attempting to record these little critters! I edit using iMovie and can easily tweak the color and also like the Ken Burns effect for zooming, along with the zoom on the Pocket 2.

I like that you can control the camera from a distance with a phone. I was in the house watching through a window while filming this and controlling the camera.

I am still playing with the ND filters. I have the 4,8,16,32,and 64. Trying to keep shutter speed at twice the frame rate.

@@dennishaldiman6087 i got a variable a 16 32 and 64 and rarely use them...preferring to alter things in post. but it made a diff i think with yours.

@@martysender5539 - According to numerous videos, you are supposed to keep your shutter speed at double your frame rate to make the smooth motions that make the video look cinematic. It seems to work when using the proper filter to keep your ISO at a low number. Otherwise, it is easy to over-expose when using the slower shutter speed. Without the filter, instead of 1/60 second, the shutter speed must be cranked up 4 or 5 steps in order to keep from over exposing the video when in manual mode. In full auto mode, I found the shutter to be at around 1/800 second, which kills the smooth motion effect.

I reloaded it - tweaked the color and this time loaded it in 4K-60, which was how it was made.

Go ahead and share it. I am located in extreme NW Ohio near the Indiana and Michigan state lines. Town is Montpelier. I captured this with a DJI Pocket 2. I had to adjust the white balance on the screen until it looked like the actual sky at the time. Auto white balance seemed to take all the color out and make the scene look normal.

​@@kellynickles2178 - I purchased the little camera in the video around last Christmas. You can operate it using Bluetooth from a smartphone or iPad. I sit in the living room at my computer with an iPad next to me for filming. Trying to get some good close ups of the birds. You spend a lot of time watching the screen with "no birds"!

I can only imagine!
