Fred Savage's three first-round throws. The Back Wall is c.65m from the flat rock called the Skim of Destiny, from which the stones must be launched.

After the Toss-Off of three stones each, two competitors had the same aggregate distance - Simon Power and Fred Savage. A sudden-death tiebreaker of a single stone skim was required to decide the 2024 World Champion.

Easdale Island, 7 Sep 2024. 15 Competitors had hit the Back Wall (c.65m) in at least one of their three first-round throws. Amongst them were Phill Bloxham, Alex Lewis and Gary Bailey (who hit Back Wall with all three of his first-round throws), John Jennings and Liam Knight from the USA and Jonas Brunvall from Norway. These 15 therefore qualified for the Toss-Off - three more stones, aggregate...
