Great prelude and fugue!
A revelation.
Good luck in the competition!
Rip :(
What happened?
@@DiegoDiego28281 i think he got eliminated after the prelims
absolutely magnificent, i think we are looking at the next winner of the chopin competition!
makes sense you got accepted
Very nice! Do you also give lessons?
This is my first hearing of Lucas Sha. My impression? Highly talented! He should become a world class pianist.
❤❤❤
You're truly an inspiration, the dedication goes crazy
Wow! Impressive. Is there a website or something where I could read your biography? Please!
The Ballade in F is a close 2nd to the nocturne op. 40 no.1 in its heart wrenching tenderness. Played beautifully here.
The Op. 48 nocturne is one of Chopin's most profoundly moving compositions. Always brings me to tears.
Nice job, I'm playing similar repoitoire but for the 19th chopin competition in warsaw. Keep in mind when playing chopin, use chopin technique. Crane, alignment, rotation, always use wrist.
Thank you for sharing this!
Beautiful ballade Original playing starting to come back in our generation!
Awesome playing. Look forward to hearing you in the competition.
also btw how many tries did this take you? your playing is amazing
Where did you record this? The acoustic is really on point…Great job, and good luck in the national Chopin competition!
This is so impressive, hope I can produce this result someday! All the best for the competition!
If you tell this is the medium o low level of the competition, man thats gonna be amazing. You played everything better than I expected when I saw the video
the doppio movimento section of your nocturne was one of the best i've ever heard! looking forward too seeing you in the competition!
I mean i cannot really judge, im far away from this level of playing but does it get any better? seriously
Alexander Malofeev 12 y unsurpassable ( Y Tube- video )
Who gives a shit about Malofeev?
I’m looking forward to seeing you at preliminary round! See you soon!
A-minor B-minor C-minor ‼️
some people seem to like his 3rd more but 1st will always be his best imo
while the nocturne wasn't my taste 100% it was super passionate and had beautiful clarity respect also i really like how you didnt rush towards the ending you look like u were in a trance
congrats!
Congratulations!
I love the pump organ in the background. When do I get a short of you playing winter wind on that??? By the way, well done and a huge congrats.
hope you have good result
This is fucking amazing
Hey Lucas. This is incredible. I'm 16 trying to join the chopin thing. I play Ballade in G Minor by Chopin. Is there still a chance for me to get in?
I don't think he'll be able to tell you. He is a candidate himself, not a judge :) You gotta try! Good luck
@@reighnaut ty bro. yea ur right
It's not that you play the Ballade, it's how you play it. Only the best in the world get into the Chopin Competition. It's a long and difficult way there, im a pianist and 16 too :D
@@proxd3980 Do you want to try making it in. It may be a stretch, but I feel it would be really good just to be accepted.
Even if I don't get passed the first or second round
cant wait to see your rounds on stage!
Hey! Wonderful news! And very amazing performance! I wish you the best succes during the competition :) greetings from Mexico.
Really interested to see you in the competition! Good luck!
I'm suprised you picked the octave etude. I feel like your technique would be more suited to something like 10 7, 10 10, or 25 5 given your playing of the ballade and the nocturne.
You'd be surprised how complicated the octave etude is to play. The more quiet parts are as per usual incredibly complicated in comparison to the already straining beginning and ending. You can't afford mishaps with this one
Congratulations!!! Smooth as silk, also liked how you didn’t try to play the F# m prelude too fast, well done, good luck in Miami! I wish I could be there :)
中間部の美しい旋律の弾き方が私はとても好きです。軽やかでとてもキレイ。とびっきり美しい。
Is the title referring to the upcoming 19th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw?
No, this is my submission to the U.S Chopin National Competition in Miami, which is held a few months before the Warsaw Competition of the same year. I will be sending an updated submission to the International Competition in Warsaw!
@@lucassha576how can I get to a point like this one day ? what did you do? it would be appreciated if you answered, thank you
@@DiegoDiego28281I also would love to know
Wow. Pretty awesome playing man.
Thanks, and best of luck to you on your own musical pursuits!
May i suggest to bring the inner voicings out in the study in a minor a little more. I like to think of my pinky and thumb as a mallet to bring out a beautiful harmonic iner melody amoungst the storm. Goodluck brother
What song did he play ?
@@jadenchen3388 He's referring to the very first piece in the video (Etude Op. 25 no.11)
@jord.t_piano Yes it's definitely a big challenge to have all 6 notes come out in that Etude. I've made a lot of progress with it since then so I'm excited to re-record it for the Chopin International Competition in Warsaw.
@lucassha576 I know😭 to bring them out while playing all those notes Is a challenge. Good luck in the comp I'll be watching
I have positive comments for the ballade as well. Apart from the odd finger slip i love the way you captured the spirit of the peice and the coda was bone chilling
I love The emphasys de on The left hand in many moments on The first one. It is easy to give too much importante to The right hand. Impressive performance
Thank you--that Etude was a big challenge for me, and I am always finding things to improve in it. Nice fugues on your own channel btw!
Can't wait to see you at the Chopin competition
Thanks! The competition I applied to is the U.S Chopin National Competition, held a few months before the Warsaw International competition (which I will also send my application to) each 5 years. It will be live-streamed at www.youtube.com/@chopinfoundationoftheunite8079/videos from Jan. 3-12, 2025.
Beautiful playing! Who is your teacher?
Thank you! I am currently a student at Brown University; I put this recording together to apply to some competitions I might be interested in. My main teacher right now is Saleem Ashkar. I have some additional biographical information at the following page: www.lucascsha.com/about (some things might be outdated or not fully updated, etc.)
I could only wish. The runs are perfect. The feel is right on. Looking forward to hearing more
Thank you! The U.S Chopin National Competition (Jan. 3-12, 2025) will be livestreamed from the following account, with commentary by the music RUclipsr Ben Laude: www.youtube.com/@chopinfoundationoftheunite8079/videos I applied for it a bit last minute but I am looking forward to the opportunity to perform there. And if all goes well, I will also be able to participate in the October 2025 Chopin International in Warsaw.
