Thank you for the wonderful tips, I am getting ready for my ice breaker speech. I'm really new in the toastmaster world
Welcome to Toastmasters, and smart move joining! I've personally found Toastmasters to be a gamechanger in terms of reducing stress when it comes to public speaking, and taking my skills to the next level. Best of luck with the Ice Breaker! Be yourself and you'll do great! Let me know how it goes.
Thank you Wade for Sharing, as you know I saw it in person, but still very helpful to see it on your channel again.
Thank you - I'm just about to do my first Grammarian role in an hour - most helpful video thank you England UK 🌞
You got this!! You're going to do great :) Thanks for watching (I love England, btw!)
I am part of a new TM Club and I am preparing my ice breaker speech. Thank you for the tips.
Awesome! Best of luck on your ice breaker! You're going to crush it!
Having to give a best man speech as an introvert with absolute stage fright. ☠️😔😫
You've got this! Practice a lot and try to get the audience to laugh in the first 30 seconds... I promise it will relax you!
Passionate Toastmaster here🖐🏾
Yeahh! That's awesome! Thanks for stopping by my video :)
Thank you Wade for sharing this brilliant video! I just signed up as a Grammarian for the first time. I’m just a non-native speaker newbie for 2 months . Your video is such a great instruction for me!
You're so welcome! Best of luck with the Grammarian role, you're going to do an incredible job! Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for posting your awesome tips! 😁 I was at the meeting and raised my glass 'to great teachers'. It was impactful.
Cheers, Axle!!
Very powerful video
Thanks so much for watching!
I was asked to take up the role just few hours prior to the Meeting. I am the person how was given the icebreaker in the ice age and never attempted the prepared speach even once due to fear. But, today i am so happy that i could give Justice to the Toastmaster Role. Thank you for your videos which helped me prepare for the role.😊
Wow! Good work! It's so hard to take on the Toastmaster role, especially with minimal notice! Glad this video helped you do well!
Helpful ❤
I'm glad this helped you! Thanks for taking the time to watch :)
I hate table topics. Which means I really need to practice. I'm not afraid of speaking - it's not having anything to say! Thanks for this great advice.
You're so welcome! Thanks for your comment... Table Topics is one of the most challenging aspects of Toastmasters, without question!
Great thank you
You're welcome!
Very insightful, thanks!
You’re welcome! Thanks for checking this video out.
As an Ah Counter, I blew it big time. Thanks for sharing your experience. More please?
There's always next meeting! Thanks for taking the time to watch this and I'd encourage you to sign up again! You got this.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm doing the timer role for my second meeting ever this evening and although not massively nervous YET, I really don't want to be boring. This has helped massively, thank you.
So happy to hear that! Good for you for taking on the timer role at your second meeting! You're going to crush it. Let me know how it went afterward!
Thankyou
You're welcome!

You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
This is helpful!.Thank you!!
Glad to hear that! You're welcome!
This is so helpful, thank you. I will be TTE tomorrow, my first time in that role.
You're very welcome! Good luck with the TTE role!
This was super helpful! Thank you, been with toastmaster about 6 months now. First time doing Grammarian. The podium turned sideways was a great tip. I enjoyed learning about this as you put a positive spin on it. Not to say that it was negative. You just helped me feel more at ease with it!
Comments like this inspire me to continue making these types of videos. Thanks, Crissy! Glad you're part of the Toastmasters fam.
Great analysis on your Table topic master roll. I love the major and minor observations. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for your kind comment! Appreciate you watching!
Thank you very much❤
You're so welcome! Thank YOU for watching.
Mr. Paterson .. great content. like and subscribed
Awesome! Thanks so much.
You’re a pro! How long have you been a part of Toastmasters? Your videos have helped me a great deal since returning after a 15yr hiatus ❤
Thanks for the kind words! Glad these videos have been helpful! (I’ve been a toastmaster for about 9 years.)
😊🌞🌞
Such a good overview!!! Super helpful!
Thanks for that comment! I'm glad this was helpful for you :)
This video has motivated me to take on the Gen Evaluator role! I’ve only done it once before, right in the beginning of my TM journey. Looking back I cringe at my performance, yet everyone, at the time, was very encouraging. The thing about roles is this: you learn from others as much as you learn from yourself, as long as you participate and learn from mistakes (as well as outstanding performances)!
So well said! Good for you for wanting to take this role on again. Can't wait to hear how it goes.
Is there an AI program that would critique my speech?
Yoodli is one I'm aware of!
Wade, I much prefer your videos without music.
Noted! My old ones have music, but my newer ones don't :)
Thank you for this video Wade!, I am the Toast Master this week. :)
Awesome!! You’re going to do a great job, Pablo! Not sure if I’ll be there tomorrow, but best of luck 😊
Thank you Wade!!
Thank you for every tip that you give; it helps me a lot. Now I know what I have to prepare if I'm being a panelist again at some event or discussion group.
You're welcome! Thanks for taking the time to watch!
[...a time you summoned the courage to deal with a difficult situation?]... _"Well it all started about 12 seconds ago when I was called on by a sadist in a green shirt to answer quite possibly one of the worst Table Topic questions one could get..."_
I'm new to toastmasters. What is a double start? Thanks!
Great question! When you basically repeat a word at the beginning of the sentence. For example: "Once... once upon a time." "The... the moral of the story."
It's also known as a "double clutch," which essentially relates to any part of the sentence that is repeated.
Your videos are helpful and insightful. Thank you for sharing!
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching!!
Great tips. I'm gonna apply this skill in my coming Toastmaster meeting
That’s awesome! Best of luck.
What speech topic should I do for vocal variety
You can apply vocal variety to any speech! But perhaps an easy way is to tell a suspenseful story and use vocal variety to capture/keep the audience’s attention.
Thanks so much
@@BRAIDENOOI no problem! Good luck.
Yeah this is a stressful but I’ll try I don’t know my vows
First off, congrats on your wedding! Not that I'm an expert on wedding vows, my best advice is to write something personalized, for your partner, from the heart. Don't feel like you have to have those memorized, I had mine on a sheet of paper at my wedding. Best of luck with all the speaking you'll do at your wedding! Try not to let the stress get in the way of you enjoying your big day!
Thank you so very much!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You're welcome! Good luck! If you're entering an evaluation contest, let me know how it goes!
hi, i'm salwa. thank you so much for sharing this tips!!!

What I learned from your video is audiences are so inpatient. I decide to concentrate on first eight seconds.
Smart strategy! Hook that audience early!
