Some good tips here, thanks! My 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 5.7 is having the no start condition. I replaced the fuel pump six months ago. Repair went well, and pump appeared to be an exact OEM replacement. Back to no run, no start condition. I will check everything again. BTW, great tip on spraying carb cleaner/starting fluid into the Brake Booster VAC line. That throttle body is fickle and does not like solvents and such sprayed into it! Going to try that booster line trick first. (NICE) At least pump is a lifetime warranty! Hopefully this next one lasts. Great era we are living in for parts huh?😂

Thank you! This was a thorough explanation of how to diagnose this problem. Sure, checking the fuel pressure should be a first step. Mine was fine but it still does not start. I will try the starter fluid. I just rebuilt my engine, so any tips beyond the fuel pump are appreciated. Right off the bat, p2111 and other related codes came on, along with the lightening bolt light. I had cleaned the throttle body off the truck and opened the butterfly. I later found out I should have not done that. I replaced the TB and did the relearn procedure with a Phoenix Plus Topdon scanner. I reconnected the battery and all of those codes went away. Only the P0113 code (Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High) and the lightening bolt light remain. The P0113 should not be the reason of the no start problem. I did soak the intake manifold in claning solvent and cleaned the inernal passages as good as possible then flushed it with water. In retrospect, I should have removed the injectors. If you or anyone can provide any insight into this problem, I would appreciate it.

Sorry but if it starts with starter fluid the first thing I would check is the Schrader valve on the fuel rail to see if it's getting any fuel. It's obvious before you even mess around with any other testing

when i put my key into the on position i get no movement on the gauges at all. it is a crank, no start. ive replaced all things except pcm the no gauge movement has me scratching my head, any ideas?

Same issue, replaced ECM, ignition switch and battery, still no crank, no start, no power on dash board

2012 Traverse, 201K. I had a code for cylinder 4 about a year ago. Changed plug and coil (no intake removal required) but bought the whole set. Started getting P0302, P0305 and P0302. No time like the present. Followed this video in my driveway with a couple ratchets, a torque wrench, a spark plug socket and some PB Blaster. About as smooth as I could have imagined. Good video.

It's nice to know what you need for the job, but you could have shown the actual change. Our daughters oil filter is a real b__ch to get off. there is a small metal locking piece on it and it would be nice to know and see where that should be oriented.

Can i use a regular test light for injectors and spark plug testing? Sometime i hear my fuel pump come on and sometimes it doesn’t. Also sometimes it starts and runs and sometimes it doesnt.

Nice Diag! I'm having the same issue on a 2016 Malibu. Switch works reclining back but wont recline forward...I'm assuming the back rest motor is in the back of the back rest? saw three motors under the seat. I'm thinking bad switch..

This comment is for anybody that might be having the same problem I just had with the back of the seat being stuck in the down position. Have somebody move the switch left to right while you push the back up from behind or one hand pushing up while the other hand push down on the lower back part of the seat. I’m no mechanic but this worked for me and I couldn’t really find any comments or videos describing how to fix my issue. This was for my 2019 Chevy Malibu lt

so i had an issue with my vcm motor. The one when supplied with lower off the battery, it worked just fine. But the 2nd vcm when powered directly from the battery, itll twitch but wont run continuosly the 180⁰. So i then powered that vcm off a AA battery and it ran smooth. I opened the vcm up and there was dried acid on the motor. So it shorted out and couldnt handle 12v. The code i was getting was P016c. Manafactuer control code. I had already replaced 10different sensors and parts. so the vcm motors were my last resort before i get the car towed. Symptoms were; hard starts, misfires from improper fuel/air ratio, lean code p0171, hesitation while accelerating, stalling, rough idle or heavy shake, and a poopping noise in the intake.
