I have recently bought this set based on recommendations. Mine are quite insipid, it's difficult to get vibrant colours like yours, even with heavy pressure, and they don't blend well. Perhaps they have changed the composition?

What is the difference between oil pencils and regular pencils?

I bought mine recently too! I think we got the same lot, cuz mine was also missing 2 colours. There was a blending pencil and an extra white instead of orchid and amethyst.

What is the pencil sharpener you’re using?

The reds and the essential colors for portrait are mediocre lightfast ratings, but would like to collect some of its Greens plus the Indigo since the majority of them are max lightfast ratings and Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle cannot provide those colors with its overall limited 76 choices of colors.

I like this! I did just receive my set of Sonnet 21 pans and look forward to trying them out. I plan on doing the same paintings for my 26 friends that I play Pickleball with each week. But, instead of a portrait layout I will do them in a landscape format. This way, when the card is folded the tree's are facing the correct way. Thanks for sharing!
