The guys are doing a lot of good things here, but the handles are drawn too high in the power phase - they are travelling in something of an arc and not a flat line - which results in the spoons being a bit too deep. You can see that too much of the loom is in the water and that a portion of the loom inside the pivot point is "back watering" in the power phase. Very best wishes to the boys and you for the future.

Hi Mark. Thanks for your rowing videos! I'd noticed that sometime back you'd had favorable comments regarding the Coffee SimulatOar. If you'd be so kind to comment on whether you still use this simulator and if so any issues with such? Is it durable and has there been much in the way of maintenance needs, etc? If it holds up, short of being on the water, I don't understand why it's not the overwhelming favorite trainer. I can see all of the positives, and am toying with buying one, but would appreciate your input before doing such. Thanks in advance. Tim

She rowed in college 30 years ago. So it's not truly her first time on the water. But she looks pretty good. Her father commented she was digging a little deep. She was. But she fixed that next time out.

Mark - for a first-time sculler, she has excellent form and a very nice release. Impressive coaching on your part!
