Model Trains. Trix Twin Railway layout. Prewar rolling stock. Trix Twin trains.
Wonderful, had me laughing often, the static and the action very well presented, thankyou for the experience, really lifted me :) I have to recommend this to others, Jim
Love seeing old videos ❤️
Brilliant video.Amazing layout with lots of imagination shown!
Nice video .Enjoy it thanks
Nice to see vintage trains running on such a lovely landscaped environment. However, that has to be some of the worst background music I've ever heard on a train video!
Great video. Love all the Superquick buildings on your layout - they go really well with the Trix. :-)
Thanks. Superquick really do make some nice kits.
Hi Robert. Yes they do, unfortunately they have become somewhat underrated today. I've put a few of builds online, a couple of favourites are: yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=15379&forum_id=72 & yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=15393&forum_id=72 Excellent videos, I've not seen the Trix models running before, so thank you again. Gordon
Yup looks as bad as I remembered it! I remember that Morris dancer's woodpecker!
Left Ledbury in 1969. Your surname rings a bell. Remember a Stephanie Guffogg at Ledbury junior School in the 60's. Any relation?
@@susanhill8332 my sister 😊
Your efforts are appreciated. I can see the amount of time and effort you have put Into your videos. We need need to get your views into the thousands. I see you have put some extensions on your coal exit chute, they are great at making a mess aren’t they. I think the highlight was finding the natural resting place for the reliant
Many thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. Trying to make train videos more interesting than just going round & round!
It's interesting that Triang Hornby commissioned Trix to manufacture the three excellent distillery bulk grain wagons for them in 1968 as a lifeline. British Trix had asked Triang to buy them out and absorb them as they had done with Hornby Dublo. Triang couldn't afford to do this but offered the lifeline instead. We might have seen Triang Hornby Trix as the brand in 1967 if Trix had been absorbed. Who knows what models would have been manufactured.
Yes. An interesting speculation.
Absolutely brilliant Robert
Thanks a million
There is a special satisfaction in getting a vintage model train to run again!
Great TTR layout.
Are these compatible with my hornby tracks
Hi. It's about 63 years ago when I last tried with a friend's Hornby set, and it was not successful. But I believe later Trix models were more successful, but could still have problems.
Very nice vintage train & video production w/ effects.
very awsome!!!!
Yes, you should make more videos.
I've got some trix trains can't get them to run that smooth . How do you get them to run so smooth
You ought to see the outtakes! Seriously, I have never been able to get them to run absolutely trouble free. But a lot of work making the track joints very even, and the rail surface and the contacts very clean certainly pays off.
Robert Waller lol I have the same problem one day they run well and the next not so good it’s taken me a long time but I think I’ve got there I love your layout hope you make more videos soon. Richard
As a matter of interest were the locos and rolling stock interchangeable with Hornby-Dublo 3-rail after the change to DC (apart from couplings, obviously)
